Buying guide links to single product review + Single product review links to the buying guide.
No downsides in my opinion.

1. if it is related content, like Page A talks about "Car washing" and Page B talks about "Car washing shampoo" then yes you can interlink.
2. If Page A talks about "Car Washing" and Page B talks about "How to install MS Windows 10" then not a worth to interlink.

Those "next" and "previous" post links do this naturally.

This won't harm nor help IMO. PR sculpting using internal linking is probably not as big today as it once was. Be liberal in your internal links, but make sure the anchors are relevant.

Yes, it's perfectly normal. If a user reading article B wants to read article A, then he will click on the link. The best example I can give is how some people write a series of threads in forums and social media. If the content has 5 chapters, then they will post one chapter at a time and provide index with links to other chapters. These things rank very well as the users who find one chapter are inclined to click on other chapters or read entire series.
