I am wondering what would happen if someone buy a new fresh domain, don't create any site, while that, keep creating backlinks for months before create the website.
Would that website rank from the beginning based on the backlinks which it already has?

Nice thought however, You need quality content to be able to get decent links to the site and you need to have the niche in mind beforehand else you'd just be building irrelevant links to the site. I also assume if google sees a site getting backlinks before it's even indexable, has a niche or content they'll know somethings a bit dodgy pretty quickly. Also depends on what tier of site you plan it to be.

Many expired domains get vanished out of the google index and still rank pretty good in SERPs after reusing them,

I wouldn't bother with it. Although, I've never tried it, so I can't say for certain.

See it from the eyes of Google: a dead domain is receiving links. And I imagine it's not high quality links, unless you are linking from your own PBN.

Not to mention that it now days takes a while for links to have an effect.

Rather, I would create a site and put up 1-5 articles and then link to them. At least Google can then see that it's a live site with potential quality on it. If the site doesn't exist, then all Google have are those referrals. No context, no topics, no information.

It would be an interesting study though, if you have a site to compare to.

I haven't tried this yet but someone said in the forum that this is what he actually does before building a site to have it indexed and ranking pretty fast.
Nevertheless, It's to be compared to just buy a dropped domain with already links in it.

This used to work back in the day, you would buy a domain, spam it to death and then put up a site for instant rankings but even in those days the rankings didn't used to last long.

Not sure if it's still working.

I may help you to get an index faster when you put content.
last year I was building links while I was adding content.
Nowadays you gotta submit a sitemap to get indexed.
If the content is excellent you will be able to rank faster.
Having said that it's worth a shot.

It doesn't make any sense, really, as it means that you will have to buy backlinks (no one with a valid source and reputation won't link to some unexisting site without any real content). This activity now can easily be detected by Google and you could get banned from indexing your domain which means that you would need to buy a new one and start all over again which is pointless. So, I advise you to first start creating some quality content there and then go for searching good and proven backlinks.

Your links will look unnatural to G because you can't justify them. Also, you'll only need to point links to existing pages.

I can't see a single benefit of doing this instead of just posting the content and then start creating links.

A website without content would not get any backlinks organically. So a website that does, would not rank. Content is the prerequisite to rank because every website that provides value has content on it.

I would do the exact opposite and build a site, let it sit until it gains natural exposure without backlinks, then start feeding it slowly.

This looks WAY more natural to G and Penguin

Exactly, to the althorithm AI and by logic, how would a contentless site that doesnt rank at all and get clicks attract a backlink from anywhere?

It would surely mark any backlinks as unnatural.

already tried with it back on 2016. but links i made was totally comment spam and i didn't had any major boosting in rank initially.

There’s no real benefit to doing this, you’re just shooting yourself in the foot.

I wouldn’t be too worried about a penalty from Google (I don’t think it’s that complicated) but there’s just no benefit to doing it. You’d rank faster by investing in content first instead of links.

That said, I think it will work just fine though, but it's not some SEO "tactic" lol.
