about the time I added Ezoic to the site it has completely stopped growing and just has held its ground

I just remembered that pesky Ezoic cache. Do you clear the cache after posting articles?

I believe I did when I first started but have not cleared it in a long time. I remember seeing some people having growth problems once joining Ezoic. Someone on here had a site completely stall out for months and then once they took Ezoic off the site started to shoot up. Luckily I am growing again but that could of been part of the problem.

I was actually looking at that a bit ago and wasn’t sure if I should do it yet or not. I will probably wait and see how the site grows, and if it’s still nice and slow, I might go ahead and do it.

You need to clear the cache because by default it's set to 1 month, so if you publish articles they won't be live. If you add them to GSC, Google won't find them and so on.

I wow I didn't know that... I will take a look into it. What do you typically set it to? Since I post articles pretty much on a daily basis.

I think there is a feature to auto-clear but you gotta dig the knowledgebase deeper. I didn't stay long with Ezoic so just used the clear cache button every time I would post.

Yeah if you use their WordPress plugin, you can use auto purge features. The problem is, if you're using litespeed cache or any other incompatible plugins, ezoic wants it to be deactivated.

You can also add cache rule on ezoic "cache" sections. Like clear cache of the homepage every day.

The easier way would definitely use their plugin.

To be honest, is there any difference if you're using ezoic cdn or just cloudflare cdn only? I don't understand the idea of double layers of CDN, unless ezoic CDN cache html too (like cloudflare apo)

Yes, this I remember. Just that it wasn't straightforward, had to read knowledgebase.

The easier way would definitely use their plugin.

Yes, but you can still use the plugin for auto-purge, etc., after the integration.

DECEMBER UPDATE

This is the first time in a few months that I actually am giving an update on the day I should lol so that's something.

I only managed to post 11 articles this month but I have 9 more articles I need to post. As you can see I only managed to post the articles from last month for this month. My main writer had some difficulties around the holiday and missed a full week of writing. I fully expected her to need the time off so I am completely ok with it but didn't expect content production to be off by so much.

My other writer has only been writing an article a week, instead of the 3+ we agreed upon but I haven't had any issues with her so I throw an article topic her way every week.

I have had a nice 22% traffic increase in December. I am not sure how much it will increase, or stay the same, in January as some of the traffic was to more product-related articles, but not by much. Most are new articles I posted a month or two ago. Very happy with that increase.

Also had a nice increase in impressions and clicks in search console. I hit over 500 sessions a day for a few days but has since decreased a little bit in the last couple days as I ranked number 1 for a high traffic keyword I posted about 2 weeks ago. It has dropped down to 3 but hopefully, it will come back up.

EZOIC FOR DECEMBER



the 31st is missing on this report but I am assuming it will be another 6-7 dollars. Getting into Ezoic premium has helped my earnings a good bit and December had a nice jump in earnings as well. I already now this is gonna fall off a cliff starting this month but it was cool almost being a 20 dollar EPMV. Now to just get that when its earlier months instead of the best earning month in the year

Not gonna ramble like I normally do. I know these updates are boring but I am going to be super happy looking back at these updates once this site becomes a massive success.

And what is your setup on ezoic? like are you using leap, ezoic CDN (cache), or what?

I changed my site theme to Generate Press but the result for mobile is still below average.
