Get a free trial of a paid account. If you don't have one - create a new profile, verify it, and get a free trial.
With a free trial you can post 1 job post and you can have 1 free boost. (I think boost is between $30 and a $100).
Create a job post with description an all the info so it looks like a real job posting, even if you don't actually need to hire anyone.
Users will see your job post and will apply to it, but while applying LinkedIn will ask them to follow your page before submitting application and 99% of users do not take the following off and become followers of your business page.

Now a few tweaks: if post something too simple or something to much you won't get many applications and therefore followers. The best is to check what other popular positions are posted and follow similar way.

Business pages with many followers attract more business and networking, so it's a great way for someone who wants to grow their professional page fast.
