Build your own Payment Service Provider

I'm sick and tired of PSPs such as PayPal and Stripe, who are constantly banning accounts without any reason.

What does it takes to create your own payment gateway and become your own payment service provider?

Does anyone had experience in this field?

you need some serious capital and approval from your countries central bank and sec

Great. You know just PayPal and stripe? There are several others too but you don't know them cos they are not as popular as PayPal. Same thing, no one will use your payment system until people can trust you. That's after you have spent thousands of dollars developing and marketing


In summary. If you don't have proper funding. Stay clear!

it is a long winding road and depends on where you build the company. Let say you build a payment processor company in Indonesia, you need to fulfill certain regulations like minimum funds stored, 30% of your employee are certified, the director's minimum degree, specification of the API, and so on

You're welcome Lieutenant, I figured you knew how to Google as most folks do , some more accurately than others of course, I was just trying to be helpful and make sure..Like a good captain should.. but did you ? lol The way you posed the question is like you had no clue or details whatsoever on the subject .
Actually I thought you were kinda joking or just venting.That is quite an undertaking as a few have stated but I'm sure you're already aware of that from your extensive Google research.. Had to do that ...Just bustin your chops a bit man no biggie. I'm sure someone will come along here soon and offer some of that real life experience of which you seek..

If you don`t have a shitload of money, or a very security focused team of coders, don`t do it. I know a bunch of people that gone down that road, and got fucked up really hard by smart hackers, they don`t take your cash direct, they bleed you out on a longer period of time.

But, if you got both money and real security focus, hell, do it .. =)

You will not be able to accept mastercard, visa, etc. easily

I would say your best bet is to set up a business bank account, some banks offer this payment processing service directly, without having to rely on paypal and other similar companies

I don't know your country and nationality, so it is recommended that you make this research

The one I know of is Banco Sabadell in Spain, I have seen some sites using this to receive card payments.
