Does Google disavow works?

On August I ordered spam links service and it made my site rankings disappear suddenly,
Then I got demotivated and stopped working on that site today 4 months later I disavowed all those comment backlinks like this "Domain:example.com" will my rankings come back? I will be changing the date of posts for now and wait should I do something more? How much time it can take for the effect of disavow to show

It works but timings aren't exactly fast, if you disavowed today it might take 1-2 months but hard to say with something that have to be handled by Google. Anyway, if your website disappeared after that spam link building, then you might recover some rankings, not like the ones you had before maybe (but it's hard to say, you might as well recover them all, it can depends on lots of things) but it should help with that, because that drop occurred right after the spammy link building

In my experience, it takes quite some time. One of my pages lost some rankings almost a year ago. (Spam link attack). I created an extensive disavow file, but my rankings are still not where they used to be. I think I got around 50% organic traffic back till now

Maybe it works, but many claims it can be effective in 9-12 months.

Means to remove all spam backlinks manually, generally you do so, by contacting webmasters on those websites and asked them to remove your link.

The disavow itself can take from 10 days to 1 month, but i ve seen websites with 60% dominating entire niches. Keep it up and stay motivated
