Downtrend for BTC

I think Bitcoin is very volatile and hard to predict.
Don't think it can be doubled from here. If it can will take alot of time. it is overlimited at the moment.

not a good chance for BTC these days!
invested 1000u on use shit pancake doge tokens....hope can make some money

Mate if the candles closes lik that it's basic TA, that's a bullish sign.

Exactly. It means everyone bought the dip as soon as it happened, before the candle closed.

But you guys know what arbitrage trading is, right?
I'm not sure about that...

Different exchange platforms have all their own order books (on the one I use you even can see a part of it on the right side).
If one bigger position is now executed on one exchange, it can clear out the order book substantially what brings the price down like it did.

But as the order books of other exchanges are still filled at "normal" price, arbitrage traders will bounce that up again,
the result is the "spike" that you see in the screenshot.

Here I described why it bounced up again, and I would not state this as bullish signal!

We just saw a massive Sell position in BTC. Course dropped down close to 40k, but recovered to 56k.

This doesn't look good for BTC, as such spikes (either up or down) very often later get confirmed by normal moving price action.
Also the order book on the down side looks very very thin compared to the upside one...

Be aware that we could see prices soon around 40k again, so if you still hold BTC, it's a good choice to go out now, and buy later again cheap.
On which exchange it happened. I do not see this mentioned on any news site.

I don't can you explain it please. I know arbitrage only from gambling and maybe dropshipping and guessing it is a similar theory but do not know the details for this sphere.

Many markets work with order books, see my graphic to get an impression how these order books look like.
Be aware that I just copied the order book of one market three times and labeled them as Market1, Market2, Market3.
In reality the order books of all three markets would have different prices and quantities in them.
Market1, Market2, Market3 could be different crypto exchanges, but the same principle is applicable for other assets and markets too.

An order book is filled with positions of traders, who are willing to buy/sell a specific amount for a specific price.
Where the sell order meet with the buy orders, lays normally the market price of that asset (sometimes it's taken the last traded price as market price).

If now in Market1 a bigger position is sold, it will clear out the buy order book side until the amount in total of the different executed orders in that order book
sums up to the amount of the sell position that was placed (see red arrow in graphic, sell of 26.19 ETH was done).
This can result in the situation that a buy position gets executed on Market1 for a much lower price (eg. 4'057.05) then it would be possible in Markets2 and 3
(as their order book stays untouched if nothing is bought/sold on those markets).

This allows somebody to buy cheap (eg. 4'057.05) in Market1, and then sell high priced in Market2 or 3 (eg. 4'273.78).

Keep in mind that not all price findings are made with order books, most of the eth tokens use pools
(that allows another possibility for arbitrage, I posted a thread about this few weeks ago).

That is a simple example of arbitrage trading. There are many others, please read this for a deeper understanding:
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/arbitrage.asp
Arbitrage trading equalizes different prices on different markets over time and help to provide a tight spread (gap between lowest sell order and highest buy order in the books).

Perspective. 1 year ago we were at $15k. We aggressively went to $65k and found support at $30k. Volatility works in both ways - the overall trend is up!

Should be grateful that we can accumulate Sats at a low cost ;)

Again it dropped and would be nice to see if it will recover now back to 70k.
Multiple Rejection means the Support is More likely to Break soon ! & We can see lower Area when BTC can stand out. Lets wait for weekend over then we will see where its Stand in Financial Bussiness days

What do you mean by financial business days ?

It's going to be a critical week for BTC. I think many of us were hoping this December would be the greatest bull run in history but so far not looking so good. Let's hope for a good reversal here after the bloodbath last week.
