It combined audio, visual and textual media together in a way that was amazing,

I wasn't joking. Her site is designed perfectly for its purpose. And she uses it in a great way.

Yeah - "good design" in that case means, minimizing marketing expenses and improving brand visibility. From what I know of her, she is a genius marketer.

the sites you posted are just digital magazine articles... not really a site at all but a tiny part of a massive site WSJ. I am sure they have thousands of article pages just like this.. looks like a simple template.
