Build more back links and add more content and give it a little time. Your not going to make bank in a day. Do as the ninja's do assess the enemy and make moves based on theirs. You are competing in a niche where a lot of those first page websites have a lot of domain age and tons of pages. Sure there may be two or three that have a limited number of backlinks but they just may be doing the google dance. concentrate on building your site and you will eventually get these

They were registered early september and october 2009 respectively.
So google will consider them more important now.
build links consistently and you will see improvements.
general time frame is 2 months.
our site is not even 20 days old. so just wait. to speed up make more back links in the mean time.

Uhm, great info you shared with me, didnt know these stuff. Only knew that domain age counts for SERP but thought that only really old domains with 1+ year was in that frame!

At OP. Backlinks are not everything. You also want to get the right sort of backlinks.

I see you are using WP on your site. Use the SEO plugins. Also, you want to be sure that you are highlighting your blog's language so the search engines rank you in the right places.

Good advice, but the whole point of pursuing the Micro Niche business is to pick keywords that have competition that can easily be eclipsed. If the websites that are currently ranking have lots of pages, you'll have a difficult time competing with a 4 - 6 page Micro Niche site.

By the way the competitors whos ranking high for my keyword has 2 hyphens on its domain but its still ranking #2 on G.
