Hey all,

I have a few local websites I'm currently trying to rank for main keyword and I was sending pbn links to them which was helping increase ranking. But I'm a little short on funds now.

So instead of buying pbn links, would manually link building my competitors backlinks be another viable option since I can do this myself and would therefore be free?

Thanks in advance
Sharif

if a link is free and easy to get it's worthless most of the time. Google will make sure of this!

This being said, who's stopping you from building free links? :)

Just don't expect great results, like I said. It might get you a few long tail keywords moving a few positions up the SERPs, but for decent keywords they won't do anything

Ok I c, I understand more now, the difference between free and paid links from your response. I have a better understanding of where to go from here. Thanks!

Like the other member said up there. The links that anyone can get are not very relevant to Google. On the other hand, those that are from domains with a high DA and DR have much more impact as long as the domains of these backlinks are not marked as spam.

So be careful who you buy backlinks from, always ask for a spam test on their websites and preferably that they are related to your niche.

Good luck!

If you have time and funds I would recommend you investing in both: PBN and manual links. That will help you to reach your goal (be above your competitors in SERP).

You can try to link from the forums. But they are conditionally free types of links. You will spend time on them, right?

You can use PBNS along with manual links. Is the best way since then will mix perfect and leave no footprint if you done it right
