Well, It is saturated compared to let's say 2010 but lots of new people enter AM everyday and make money. You probably won't become a billionaire with AM but as new people get online, the pie gets bigger and you probably can get a piece of that for yourself.
Agree with this, thanks for the link ill take a lookIf you really want to be sure, as people here will have different opinions, do a serious calculation and analysis of your market, it's the most important.

I saw many businesses fail only because "oh good product, ton of customers, duh..."
It doesn't work like that unfortunately or else everyone will be rich.
Some markets are saturated, some are under represented.
Every month/year you have a new opportunity but it's not a "guess game".
Thanks, I know it will take a while and I wont make a shed load but I was mainly thinking about something to do on the side if it's worth it or not. I'll try a couple of things out and see what happens.Well, It is saturated compared to let's say 2010 but lots of new people enter AM everyday and make money. Every aspect of digital marketing and IT, in general, has become harder in the past couple of years, simply because there is higher competition. But it surely doesn't mean you should quit or do something else. Just need to be more patient, try more methods, invest a bit more in the start maybe, and results will come. You have to prove yourself in order to succeed, but it's worth it.At the moment I'm mainly in SEO and Domain selling, I've been looking into am for a while now but a few people have told me that it's oversaturated now. I know it takes trial and error, my own initiative, and most of the old methods won't work anymore but what are your thoughts, has it gotten harder over the past few years?
How can know without the sheet as there must be sureshot way to evaluate...If you really want to be sure, as people here will have different opinions, do a serious calculation and analysis of your market, it's the most important.

Inspiring words mate, thanks. I reckon it's mostly going to be trial and error to find out what works. Definitely should do that, it's proven to be the best approach. Wish you a lot of success.Inspiring words mate, thanks. I reckon it's mostly going to be trial and error to find out what works. I'm going to try a few things out and see what happens.
Thanks, just what I was after. I have a plan and a few ideas, it was mainly something to do alongside the other things I'm doing at the moment.By AM you mean affiliate marketing? It's oversaturated in so far as there are 10-year-old authority websites in most of the evergreen niches? Even in other random trash niches, there are websites? Like there are so many tools these days, specifically directed at AM, that even a monkey with some $$ could make an affiliate website? There are also big companies you will be competing with? And also trash companies from third world countries? Like, why does PCmag need to review that $2 screwdriver in 3000 words with pictures and a video review with 5000 likes and shares?
Not to mention the hundred different things Google does to hurt affiliate websites. They have been targeting thin affiliate sites for years, those are practically impossible to rank now. So you basically end up spending an entire day writing a 3000 world article, having to use tools like marketmuse and AI content planners to fill in the minor topics your competitor has missed, all of it to target some KGR keyword with 250 monthly search volume. That's the state we are in.
Yes bud it is saturated, it's definitely not something one should get into without a good plan, realistic expectations, focus on quality content and quite a bit of $$$$$$ to spare.
