I was researching someone who can handle my client's SEO jobs and I got an offer from a guy who has made $300k+ by just building backlinks for websites.

After reviewing his profile, he claims that he builds backlinks by outreaching to websites by using the skyscraper technique.

Here is how he charges;

Anyone claiming they can get you to page 1 on Google for $50 a month is a farce.

OP, there are a lot of sellers on these freelancer platforms who are resellers selling from lists, but that price isn't too shabby if the link is good and you get the chance to preapprove them.

You're not comparing like for like.

They work on DA, which is utter crap as any benchmark.

I have a test site that is a DA 53 site, the DR is 0.2.

But this seller doesn't get your approval before building a backlink so he doesn't give you an option to evaluate a site. I am still curious how he got there by selling crap backlinks.

I can't for sure say that he sells crap backlinks but I don't think you can buy a backlink for $180 from a domain that has DR70.

If seller refuses to show what are you buying - go to the next seller.

In my personal opinion if that backlink on DR70 website is on some inner page which do not has internal links from root domain, or external backlinks pointing to it - i will not buy it at all.

I think most of the things to check if the quality is good or bad after receiving the sample are fraudulent.
