Google indexing slow lately?

I can confirm indexing is going totally wrong for the last couple of days especially,
This is the case for both manually created links with handwritten content as well as a new website, not even getting crawled,
Strong links still getting fast indexed as usual

My experience with indexing a new website is quite different.

Almost every time I create a brand new, legitimate, fully-functioning website on a fresh, non-expired domain, the homepage tends to get naturally indexed in just a few days. Over time, internal pages are also getting indexed once every few days.

The last one I did was just a week ago, the homepage and 1 internal page has already been indexed. I've not done any link building yet, and also not even registered the sites on search console.

However, indexing those lower quality tiered links are a different story altogether.. I also felt its much harder to get them indexed since late october (about similar timeline as OP?). I had a way higher index rate in september.

yes exactly since around beginning of october even. new sites would have 100s of indexed pages in a week. now its been <100 pages in about 3 weeks.

Folks, not sure if this will help you guys, but for me Google wasn't indexing shit because of Ezoic was aggressively caching my sitemap.xml

Check you sitemap.xml from incognito window and see if your latest posts are showing up. If not, investigate who is caching it and disable it.

What about g-sites that doesn't use sitemaps? I am having big problems indexing my G-sites articles that are 100% plagiarism free and high quality.

agree. google is indeed slowly indexing.
i've a googlebot plugin for my WP site which shows the timestamp when googlebot actually visits each post.
3-4 months ago, every post published would be indexed withing 8-11 hours.
now its gone beyond 24 hours.

also googlebot is not visiting newly modified pages (or edited pages that were already published in month of August). It has indexed them, but not indexing the new edits.

note: I do use sitemap, and ping manually. sitemap gets visited daily.

Happened to me, request manual indexing in Google search console, it fixed the problem for me and every post on my website got indexed in less then 24 hours

I have no idea what the problem is with your website, i have a really new website on new domain and my pages were not getting indexed for 2-3 weeks, after manually requesting indexing 90% of them are indexed in less than 24 hours.

Lots of my articles didn't get indxed for almost a month, i will try to request indexing manually to see if it works
