I used to be into phone farming. I have 20 or so old phones and I used to run apps on them to make some coin. It’s a dead method now as far as I know but it got me thinking about games.

I know you used to be able to farm items and make a few bucks doing so. Is this still worth it? Can you make money farming items, selling leveled accounts, gold, etc?

I know WOW (World of Warcraft) allows you to sell items but I don’t know of other games that do it.

I also know the Chinese set up whole warehouses of people who farm gold and items so you have that to compete with.

Anyone still make money from games?

I did that as well for a lot of years but stopped 2 years ago since it wasn't profitable anymore. It wasn't worth my time. However, I'm sure there is still people profiting from this.
How you find customers? Can you share experience about it.

If you want to test a profitable game or not, you need to master it for 1-2 months to be lucky enough to make money from that game.

Runescape has a huge market but if you do it manually with normal money making methods you can expect around 1.5$ an hour

Better would be make private game server with donations - but this requires a lot more knowledge and some money.
Is it requires more work? I don't think so, grinding in game is more time consuming ;)

I’m guessing you can bot right?

You can build items and scripts for the 2 biggest game marketplaces, unreal & unity.

Someone posted a thread about it a week ago, they were making about $25 a day passive after a couple of months I think.

too much work to earn little

i have strong magic the gathering arena account , i have over 10k cards alot rare cards, I playing this game since 2018, i did try to sell my account for 150$ and no one bought

some time ago i tryed to sell world of warcraft gold, i was farming for days and sell for amost nothing

thats a waste of time

I used to bot a ton in games a few years ago. Made some decent money, but not anything too crazy.
Good thing about game botting is that it's very easily scalable, however it requires a good amount of capital to start 'professionally'.

If you're looking to start botting, I'd say the easiest one might be Runescape and actually is quite profitable, if done right.
I'd suggest a starting capital of $1-2000.

Hire yourself a specialized game bot coder for a custom bot. Expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $1500 per bot.
Rest you should use to build a good computer that is built around lots of RAM and a good expensive CPU.

I agree Runscape has a huge market, you just have create your own way of finding buyers.

Easier said than done..
Their bot detecting system got pretty good and high earning money making bots which take time to level up usually get banned in the process..
I have no experience in bot farming but I would guess best bet is numbers game, create a lot of throwaway accounts and transfer value often, even though to me it seems too much hustle for value.

I did manage to sell gold for around 10k$ but it was earned by playing legitimately over my childhood

I think doing it manually is inconvenient today but if you can automate there is some good money to be made.

Made a killing selling botted PokemonGo accounts when the game was relatively new. There's probably still a market for it.

I've used to bot when I was a kid when playing a game called Tibia. I played with some javascript, but unfortunately I was too young, couldn't speak english and there was no one to teach me how to program.

Nowadays I know a bit of code, and found out that there are still people who play the game and invest a lot of money into it. It might be profitable, but I'm mostly interested because I think botting in online games is fun.

wow gold still works, get auto fishing bot, it`s slow but very low ban rate
