I sent you already message and we started already your site, happy to have you as a client.

Here are the answers to your questions:
"1) Am I able to target a category AND a location?"

Answer: Yes you can choose that and we will deliver it, the issue in some cases is the number of jobs that appear for that location, in most locations, there are many jobs BUT let's say you chose Business intelligence in Topeka, you won't have many jobs there, but we can review the number of jobs and give you advice once you buy the service to talk about specifics for sure.

"2) What job board sources does your API pull from? Is it similar to this https://github.com/jobapis/jobs-common"
Answer: No, we have private deals with many job boards and independent recruiters.

"
3) I want to additionally pull in info from the Greenhouses job boards, for an additional fee can you pull in their API as well?
https://developers.greenhouse.io/job-board.html#introduction"

Answer: Short answer is no.

Long answer: Access the jobs is a very heavy process, is not only to scrap them (since most job boards do not allow it), is to use the API, develop the interface, clean up the data, standardize the addresses, the locations, the categories, clean up the info that is why we make all this behind the scenes and only with companies we are working on so all the clients get clean, lean, simple daily jobs that cause no problems to them.

"4) I host this site on my hosting company correct?"
Answer: yes you have to buy the hosting service, we recommend namecheap, hostgator or godaddy, but any one that has CPanel is good.

"5) How easy is it to change the design? Is it done all through the CSS files?"

Answer: if you know Css you can do it, all the website works within the wordpress framework.

"6) Would you just sell the API solution and integration if I did not want your website design? "

Answer: No, the integration within the database is not that simple, and developing it for a single client is not something appealing ot us.

"7) What is the exact process from purchase to handoff? There are so many posts that it's not very clear."

Answer: Pay the service, I send you the instructions, you pick up the domain you want, send us your CPanel information, 5 days after your site is delivered.

Hi. For those you got this solution and host it with Namecheap (shared hosting), do you guys have any outages in the cron jobs? The job board doesn't get refreshed and I manually need to flush caches to make it run again. Let me know if you something like this. Thanks

@patadeperro I have a site from you. Is there any way to integrate the new jobs into an email newsletter similar to how an RSS feed would work for new blog posts? Cheers.

Your problem is that you have way too make plugins on a cheap shared hosting account, the theme and operation of the site is very light, if you are having problems you need to deactivate the plugins that you REALLY don't need (I bet 90% of the ones you have) OR if you do not want to do it pay for a dedicated or reseller solution, that will give you access to more resources into your hosting account.

Yes there is a way, but I only know aweber has this feature, it automatically inserts it on the newsletter.
hi @patadeperro, PMd you, please check it when you have time :)
I answered you already, cheers.

I have cheap/slow hosting as well. It has happened to me once. You can run it in the import all extension --> manage imports --> run import. I think the problem is the job is set to be abandoned if it takes longer than two minutes but when I run the job it takes up to 4 minutes (my slow hosting). So I raised the number in the settings to 5 minutes by changing the cron processing time limit to 300 seconds. Let me know if that helps.

The issue is not the plugin, is your hosting, because they cut the process before, what you did is to change the variable to take longer and spread the requests on the hosting, which is not a biggie in any other hosting account, is really not that much, now many people who complain about this issue in top of that have many plugins sucking resources from the hosting accounts... so it makes things worst, thanks for the input anyway, cheers.

What should be the minimum hosting you recommend on namecheap?

Like your offer of the job site and that is something I might want for my current project, however but was curious about the way jobs gets published on the site you mentioned the site uses an API you developed is there any way I can be independent? What I'm asking is if you one day shut down the API that means my job site will stop getting new jobs posted right?

No, sorry there is no way you are independent because we process all the job providers at once and we send the information for each site daily, you would have to be cleaning up all the information yourself, and believe me there is some heavy-duty work right there, I do not see why we would close the API since we monetize our sites in the same way, via the same API all our clients use.

are you able to create similar website, just different niche ? if yes, what would be the pice ?
cheers

What do you mean by this? a job website in a specific category? yes, we can do that BUT if you are talking to create a website like this in let's say Real State, no we do not do that.

1. Do i have to pick a domain name AFTER the payment or whatever i choose it's ok with you?
2. Can i get jobs based on salary in a location (ex: jobs over 10k per year in Atlanta)? Or it's strictly job category/location based?

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. Either or is fine, not a problem for us.

2. Short answer: Yes

Long Answer: We can do filters by salary and location as you requested BUT the reality is that few job offers publish the salary, which will mean you would receive only the jobs that follow the established criteria so you may NOT receive any jobs certain days NOT because there are no jobs for that area within the salary range you chose BUT because the salary range was not published.
