dead if you use a bot for it and go overboard. if you do it manually and with low limits, is slow but kinda works. some people say that in the long term, you want to be recognized as a brand account; and as such, you don't want to follow hundreds and thousands of randos; only a few brand accounts. as with everything, your mileage may vary and the ways of Instagram's AI are inescrutable.

Stealing cannot be done, but if you can make them keep sending you a dm inviting them to see your page, there are several ways to send those messages

I am not an expert on Instagram, but there should be a limit to every action. You could find out via trial and error, but that may screw up your account future prospects, so ideally you should ask around here, read various opinions, get a few answers, and take an educated guess.

Yes, Here are the limits :

Likes : 15-25/Hour , 140-200/Day
Comments : 3-6/Hour, 25-50/Day

Ofc these are general limits which work for all type of accounts, Newer accounts should warmup before getting to the above limits. Also a lot of accounts can go above these limits as well but this is the safe range which keeps you far away from any blocks or bans.

Yeah, it really depends how aggressive you are. If you have patience its very doable. I've had some luck so far with a free google extension I found.

From my experience competitors clients are normally a higher conversion in the likes/comment area, as a target for scraping. If your provide a similar service or better I've always followed the 1-2 punch method of follow/like picture or interact with story. That'll be enough for them usually to at least check out what your doing. I've done this before and recently and see conversions for an IRL service.

Now that the follow/unfollow method is dead, what methods are you using to gain followers on Instagram?
I have scraped 80k followers of my competitor's followers and I am wanting to see if there is a way to send mass dm or other methods to steal their followers.

You can run campaigns targeting users that like "page", "page" & "page".

It's not dead, although automating it through some tools (Jarvee) has become very hard, and those who know the right settings hide in the shadows. IMO the best way to automate IG is by building your own bot or hiring a developer, but this can be quite expensive.

Manual f/uf is still alive and breathing to this day...
