When Instagram blocks you or bans you or shadowbans or whatever, why don't they just tell you what you did wrong and allow you to fix it? Or tell you why they won't allow you to fix it so you can just go away. Why do they make it so difficult and make you have to guess every little thing?
Right now I have a thing that says, "please try again in a few minutes." It's been a few days and nothing has happened. Why do I have to try again "in a few minutes?" Just tell me so I can fix it, or not do it again, or whatever the problem was. Why is "a few minutes" a few days already? With no explanation or help? What kind of way is this to run one of the biggest businesses in the world?
Can't they say, "you've been blocked for 48 hours because you liked too many things too fast," and maybe put the rule, "please limit your likes to 10 per hour." Then you would come back in 48 hours and follow their rules. Many, many rules we don't even know about.
Who does it help by not telling you what the problem is? Legitimate users, which I would guess are most, aren't helped by this. Spammers aren't hurt by it. So why do it to us?
If you do something more serious they can say, "your account is banned for harassing someone. You will not be able to get your account back."
But even then, what if you didn't harass someone? What if you didn't like things too fast? You have no chance to defend yourself, because they don't have any customer support.
I know they're concerned about bots and spam and everything, but nothing I do is any of that. Why can't they give you a way to show you're not doing anything wrong?
This is a terrible system.
