How the heck do you Monetize a Subreddit?

I have read many articles and watched a few videos but I still can't understand how to monetize a subreddit? It seems like it's either very difficult to figure out a way to monetize a subreddit.

I just cleared $110 in Reddit in 4 days with the @thescrrr book. Subreddit are also a good way to make money in his other book I highly recommend you grab them

Yep that was indeed what I was making in that journey with little to no input. Cams don't work as well as a few years ago. Since then I have changed things and was making $1k+ per month. ( Using the scripts and subreddits I have)

No, but thanks for the idea! I tried quora a few times but my comments always got blocked, or nested so I gave up.

I tried that and it only paid pennies, although I'm not an expert in adult sites (at least when it comes to monetization ahah)

this is probably the best for certain types of subreddits. ads are so naturalized that no one would complain if you link to a page chocked full of them (if the link is meaningful). i would like to try directing them to quiz pages some time. since redditors are idlers by nature, it sounds like a good fit.

Look what others are doing to monetize their sub.
It's easier to copy a successful strategy than coming up with your own.

I don’t have an adult site or any experience with the niche, but I know that adult networks pay cpa only, you’d need a very good product to make good revenue or not an adult site so you can be paid for views.

Everything depends on your niche and traffic quality. The poor quality traffic rarely converts.

I don't use reddit too much today as my time is better spent elsewhere but if your offer is great and well targeted... reddit is one of the most efficient platform when it comes to speaking to your niche... some subreddits are SO on point with their targeting.

Guys, don't forget that bigger is not equal to more conversions.

We don't care if you have 1 million people, if they have no value in converting in a targeted offer, it's useless.

I prefer to have a subreddit of 20 000 people which are fan of my products than 1 million that are not emotionally involved at all in my brand.

Adult is also a domain activity in which you have ton of people following you only because they are aroused by your content, but if you have nothing to monetise it behind, it's the first thing you should think about in your brand content strategy before even thinking about growing a subreddit.

And guys... just don't forget about reddit ads, I was doing it exclusively instead of content marketing and targeting the good subreddits is a goldmine that many people don't think of doing.

You need to rep for a product where you can do contextual and lifestyle posts. Then offer coupons to forum members so you get credit.

Can be hard. Imo numbers don't matter as much. I mean, you can have 1m members and if they are all mostly kids(which can happen), that number is worth nothing.
But if its subreddit with audience interested in specific niche, 50k of them can easily make you more than 1m.

It's possible, but probably the most important step is identifying what is that audience about and what do they want.
