Google might change your page Titles when showing them on their results
Is it true ? Is anyone notice this?

Correct. It mostly use the h1 right now or rewrite it in its own way.

Haven't heard about this yet. Didn't notice for my own titles.

But it doesn't seem to be a bad thing because we don't even need to bother writing good titles anymore if google can do it for us.

I think it will affect conversion rate. If google change Money article titles and it can also affect the Emotionaly target Titles.

Either, titles get cropped or rewritten

yes its damn true. Google rewrite the title as per user search easy and website content quality and strength.
