Hi, hope this is the correct sub for this. I'm trying to set up lead gen GMB properties and I have quite a bunch of aged gmail accounts that I can use. I will set up 1 GMB for each gmail. My concern is all the recovery email points the same email address that I own. Will this be a problem or cause of alarm to Google? I'm trying to avoid suspensions. Thank you!

Yes that is a big footprint, create some protonmail accounts for each.

Why risk it?

How about for the phone number? Will it also be a problem if most of the gmails have same recovery phone number?

Yes, I only add recovery email as renting many different dedicated phone numbers will get expensive and if you lose access to the phone for any reason the accounts could be lost.

Yep. You basically tell Google they are all connected, and you don't want to do that :)

Do you mean you don't verify your gmails with phone numbers?

That's correct.

Depending on how well you have avoided Google's anti-bot detection/trust worthy footprint, you may or may not be required to verify by SMS code during a new Gmail registration; however, after successfully completing the SMS verification, you can remove the phone number in the optional (recovery phone number) field and instead just put a (recovery email address).

In my experience, there is no need to have a recovery phone number on any Gmail account, unless you abuse the account multiple times, after about 3-5 suspicious activity flags (having to confirm recovery email or re-do a SMS OTP to gain access to the Gmail again). In this case, you will be constantly asked for SMS verification and recovery moving forward so it's best to avoid getting to this stage or ditch these accounts for new ones once you see this happening.

Simply use a recovery email and you shouldn't have any issues, whether it be another gmail, yahoo, ect.

thanks for telling us your experience.

i had the same problem lately with some "older" gmails, which i haven't used actively for a couple of weeks/months.

so i have a question to you:

do you trigger or use those gmails regularly, so google don't think they aren't used anymore?
because i would guess, even with a recovery mail, but without actively using those gmails (maybe for some weeks or months) that would trigger at least the confirm recovery mail / suspicious activity flag.

am i right? do you have experience with that?

thanks in advance :)

Yes, inactivity is a common issue for accounts.

After creating accounts, I go into the rest of Google App Stack and enable a random amount of things; including:
- activate local guide and interact with a GMB (upload photo, make suggestion edit, or add review)
- create docs/spreadsheet
- create YT channel, upload 1 video
- schedule some random events in calendar months/ year away
- create keep notes
- launch a Meets conference

------

You can likely automate all of the above interactions with a script if you wanted to, for example; a script that deploys an email to be sent via Gmail API to emails every XYZ days, and or auto-respones to any emails.

The point being you need to give G positive/active user signals or you will fall into the inactive algo.

Best of luck!

do all this or just make a g suite account for $4 a month and basically be worry free to do whatever you want lol

big protip: find verified GMB with expired domains and then re-reg the domain and re-create g suite w the domain and now you have access to the GMB and also a absurdly built google account that will bypass anything and everything you throw at it bc they give greenlights to paid accts vs protonmail throwaways
