Initially, I believed that
@spyguyzz operated both Skype accounts because the imposter account in question uses the email address
[email protected] with his his Skype account.
However, I have since found out that you can create a Skype account with one email address and then change it to an email address owned by someone else without any verification in certain cases. Skype will send a confirmation email, however you do not need to act unless you believe it is fraudulent.
@spyguyzz, I would recommend you to search your email history for an email from Skype with the subject 'Registered email successfully updated'. If this was not you, then report it to Skype/Microsoft.
After doing some more digging, I have fairly good reason to believe that the person who is acting as an imposter here also did the same thing to
@Heisenberg and
@Donawoite. I have used both their services in the past without issue, but I've also spoken to the imposter. With each 'fake' Skype, he said a near identical thing and has done the same now with the imposter
@spyguyzz Skype account.
This individual has been scamming people for some time, not just here but on other forums. His modus operandi is to take advantage of people who transact their services via Skype by trying to replicate the accounts of genuine sellers. In most cases, he is focusing on those people who sell Adwords/Bing accounts and coupons.
I believe that this imposter is Vietnamese and he has an inactive account here (
@kelvinmmo1987). The Skype account (
admincls) is linked to scamming here within
@Donawoite's previous sales thread and on other forums generally. Hopefully
@Zwielicht can work some of his magic here.
I would encourage
@BassTrackerBoats's advise about doing business via Skype. If you own a sales thread and want to list your Skype address, I would encourage you setting up a HTML link:
Code:
