As the above question indicates, I want to know what makes people buy boring products on facebook?

Is it intriguing creatives? Well targeted ads?

I would love to hear other people's thoughts and opinions. Most fb ads youtube videos seem to indicate that the best products that sell on Facebook are innovative problem solvers or unbelievably eye catchy.

Boring products are very bad idea. People doesn't visit Facebook to buy something so you have people at the top of the selling funnel, that doesn't convert.

You may want to try to get their email and after that you nurture them through the funnel with email marketing but yeah... it will be extremely expensive with no guaranteed results. Google ads it's better at that point.

That's what I thought as well, as with FB ads as it requires stronger persuasion, as the users don't have that initial buyers intent. Nonetheless, I am curious to see if there is a way around that.

Apologies for the silly question, in terms of the email, would you get their emails and then use that as data to set up for your ads targeting?

search for "lead generation", you will find what I mean, and what you should do with the emails. It's a long topic

good creatives can make a simple product look interesting and valuable and the main thing is showing people's why they need it and how it can help them and right audience and clear messaging also make a big and good difference.

I hope you know the difference between the candy and the painkiller product, so try to approach the painkiller product
And an advice is that always good marketing of even boring product will get you the results

yes even simple products can work on facebook if the ad connects with the right audience and the good creatives, clear benefits, and showing how the product solves a problem can make a huge difference.

I think even simple products can sell if the ad explains the benefit clearly. People buy solutions, not just products.

If the product is "mediocre," we must create demand, making creativity crucial. You need to identify the product's selling points.

Many boring products sell because they solve small daily problems. Good storytelling can create demand.
