I am thinking about whether to get waxed or not. I have seen too many threads about the term "vax", "vaxed" and I have no clue what that is and not a single thread about getting waxed ?
So, here is that thread, where we all interested people can dicsuss about getting waxed or not.
Kindly please dicuss only about waxing : you feel like getting waxed or not, have you already got waxed ? If yes, why ? If no, why ?
Do the waxing at home or get waxed at a salon ? And give valid reasons for both.
PLEASE, no name calling (directly or indirectly and all that.
Only pure wax and waxing talks please. And let's be diplomatic.

i am pro-wax
i waxed my dads cadillac last year. came out looking real nice.
but it was the "spray wax" kind. just spray and buff it in.
anyone use those? how's it compared to the sticky wax with orbital machine.
TECHNICAL RESEARCH REPORT
INTRODUCTION
It is very much appreciated that you are trying to clarify between spray wax and sticky wax with orbital machine. Thank you.

RESEARCH METHODOLY
I tried to do a small research about it using Google. However, I got really confused with so much of technical jargon, so then while on Google, I clicked on images and I am posting both the images, along with the findings, observations, conclusions & recommendations.

FINDINGS
Spray Wax : I am going as per the exact and proper definition of spray wax. It comes in sprayable bottles (please see the picture) and usually the bottle size from top to bottom is 5 inches to 8 inches. A spray wax is protective product in a liquid form, thin enough to be pushed through a sprayhead in order to spread it over a surface by spraying. The liquid is usually white.

Orbital Machine : The technical jargon is confusing, hence I am copy / pasting (below) from open source Wikipedia (Wikipedia is free content that anyone can edit, use, modify, and distribute). :-
Orbital machines have a spinning forming tool, which is gradually lowered into a rivet which spreads the material of the rivet into a desired shape depending upon the design of the tool. Orbital forming machines offer the user more control over the riveting cycle.

CONCLUSIONS
Spray Wax : When you don't have the time it takes to methodically rub liquid wax on the surface of your car, that's where spray wax comes in.
Orbital Machine : No conclusions, as the definition of it as per Wikipedia, is too confusing.

OBSERVATIONS
Spray Wax : The spray wax comes in a handy easy to use bottle.
Orbital Machine : No observations can be drawn, as the definition of it as per Wikipedia, is too confusing.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Spray Wax : Spray Wax is recommended because it's fast and easy to apply, giving your car a shine you can be proud of in just minutes.
Orbital Machine : Unable to conclude recommendations, as the definition of it as per Wikipedia, is too confusing.

Some have a small car, some have a big car.
And don't we care for our cars ? Some have a small car, some have a big car. Don't we wash our cars ? And we would like our cars to always have a good attractive look and using spray wax is the best solution for this. Orbital machine, we all are confused about it, I am sure, as the definition (as per Wikipedia) itself is confusing and has only technical jargons.

Professionals in all fields are welcome to analyze my Technical Research Report about spray wax and sticky wax with orbital machine and give your valuable insights.

I only wax my private parts.... I like to be smooth down there, and it does look bigger;);)

I'm not an anit-waxer, I have had both my new cars waxed when they were young.
However I'm not about to use a wax on my own vintage pride and joy that's been sold by a door to door sales man driving a Lamborghini - who claims I'm Stalin's love child if I don't use it - has no long term reviews - never been tested on my particular type of paintwork - claims it might not make my car shinny or protect it, but will make all the other cars I park next to think they are perfectly detailed.

@turingTestMe I was so far not clear about orbital machine, but I thought that I have professionally mastered in waxing and spray wax.
Now, after reading your reply (or comment) here, I am scratching my ..... head !!! And now I feel I need to do even more deeper research and publish another Technical Research Report about waxing and spray wax. And that door to door Lamborghini car ssalesman seems to know nothing about waxing.
But, nonetheless, I am glad that I'm learning more and more about waxing and you know what, perhaps a bit of learning can be done daily if possible ?

@getivan I really appreciate all the time you would have taken to do such a deep research about "anti".
Now, I will professionally get started to prepare professional Technical Research Reports for each of these "anti" niches.

OK. There is always a solution to everything. Assuming you are an anti-waxer and somehow someone convinces you to get waxed and you hence go to a salon and get yourself waxed by a professional certified waxer. Now, after that also you have the option as a professional free thinker, to once again become an anti-waxer, just by deciding to never get waxed again.
One can be a pro-waxer and then decide to become an anti-waxer AND one can be an anti-waxer and then decide to become a pro-waxer.
For getting waxed anytime, please go to a good salon. Alternatively, there are also DIY home waxing kits also available. I was almost about to post my affiliate link here, for you, but it is good that I remembered that posting affiliate type links is against forum rules.
I sometimes (not always) relate my Lounge comments to some rule of the forum, ensuring that that the rule relates to my comment and my comment relates to the thread.
Ofcourse, I do it only sometimes, as then I need to read all the rules to find a rule which I can relate to my comment and hence a good rules refresher is nice atleast once a week.

I will admit shamefully, I have not been waxing. However I do not identify as an anti-waxer and I have no issue with others waxing. If you choose to do so, it's better to do it at a salon with professionals who follow the science.
