My niche has been gamed by someone who have an arsenal of age old domain he basically just slapped keywords gibberish to a thousands of auto generated pages and then cloaked it to a single affiliate page. He's been doing it since G stop manually de-indexing auto generated sites and relied more on their AI to demote these kind of sites to oblivion, back then they will just de-indexed these sites and they were good at it in less than 3 months spam sites are gone and now the search result is shit like out of 10 results 7 is his. LOL, spam update my ass.

Many of my keywords SERPs are filled with Pinterest (up to 5 spots in the Top 10), YouTube videos, Facebook pages and so on. In my opinion, this is spam, because people are using this high authority sites to spam the serps.

Like I mentioned many times: they love releasing these updates prior to festive seasons. And it has gotten worse since last year around this time (November).

But last month's update is the ultimate blow to webmasters as the whole search results UI has changed so much that clicks and conversions have been severely beaten down. And it happened just before Halloween and other national holidays.

And now November, just when thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the upcoming December festive month is right around the corner, they decide to release this 'spam update'.

Pure coincidence or deliberately? I don't know. But all I know is I'm seeing very poor quality websites with obviously spun content ranking on first page now. I hope this is just temporary if not it's a cruel joke.

Oh well, let's wait a week and we shall see.

It's not just your opinion... it's the reality.
Pinterest, FB, YT are all spam as any donkey can post anything (legal) there without moderation. So it is spam.

Let's see... if I post junk on this forum then it's spam (and for repeated offenses I'll be banned) but if I post the very same junk on FB then it's high quality content.

Every holiday season google is tasked by big corporations and high ad payers to "remove the competition" and get their stuff in front of paying customers' eyes. That's why these always come out before holidays. Once all the mega stores and corporations have taken a huge portion of revenue from buyers, seo'ers finally find a way to get back to the top, (too little too late), and will be pushed back down anyway again next holiday season to make way, once again, For the big guy.
