Need advice on how to rank!!

Hi all, looking for advice on ranking my videos. I have grown my channel all organically to over 100k subs, but the last few months i barely get any views and rarely rank in any keywords. Meanwhile my competitors are all ranking and gaining tons of subs and views. I need some advice on how to rank and increase engagement.

Currently I'm uploading 2-3 times a week, each video i pay for a few hundred microworkers to search for the video using the keyword I'm trying to rank. I have them like the video and watch it to the end. On top of that I also have about 30 YT accounts of my own leaving comments and liking/engaging with it. That combined with the natural views and engagement from my subs have been doing OK.. but still not ranking. I will rank for the first day or 2 then nothing. What else can I try? Could it also help if i purchase a few thousand views for each video on top of what im already doing? And if so, any suggestions on where to buy from?

You're audience dosent engage with your content enough.
the channels that's outrank you are channels with a more active audience.
if you're able to rank a few days and then nothing, that's means your ctr and engagement isn't as good as the videos that are currently ranked.
smm panels won't help since this is about ctr and engagement.
what's your average ctr for a video?

I have tried to make my audience engage more, but hasn't really worked. My average ctr for a video is 11%. How can I improve my ctr?

It seems you're experienced therefore knowing this method. I myself has abused this method a ton. Nowadays it's different, Microworkers method don't work anymore after the last few YouTube Algorithm Updates. Here's how they explain it:

"Our final ranking objective is constantly being tuned based on live A/B testing results but is generally a simple function of expected watch time per impression. Ranking by click-through rate often promotes deceptive videos that the user does not complete (“clickbait”) whereas watch time better captures engagement."

So with mircoworkers, your video will get likes & engagement within the first minute of the video as they have other tasks to take care of. It's basically useless now. They've prioritized watch time over everything else. So all you have to do is keep the viewers watching, It's not really that complicated

Ahh interesting! So is there anything I can do to improve the watch time? Will HR views work? My videos are only 2-3 minutes long with the average percentage viewed around 45-50%. I have tried to make the videos as interesting as possible to keep the watch time high, I can't really do anything else to the actual videos. My competitors videos are the same length and they are getting 5x the amount of views as me and are ranking high. One of my competitors and I both hit 100k subs at the same time, I'm now at 120k subs while he has gone to 400k in the matter of months. I'm certain he is doing something different to gain that growth. I'm happy to put around $50 into each video whether thats for buying views/microworkers etc, just don't know what will actually improve my keyword ranking.

I possibly won't be able to help you if that's the case. You can try buying ads views from smm panel but I am yet to research the true pros and cons of doing so. I've been only growing channels Organically from 2018 until now. Assuming your videos are perfect, your percentage viewed shouldn't sit at 45% as your videos are really short. My main channel's 5 best perfroming videos have an average percentage viewed from 62.4% to 74.8%. This channel has gathered 3,761,829 views in the last 48 hours, (just checked) and the videos are all 8+ minutes. The whole point of a channel uploading 2-3 minute videos is to have viewers hit the end of the video where you're promoting another 2-3 of your videos related to the one they just saw via end screens to have your viewers put into a never ending loop just like "Beluga" does.

BTW, Why do you want to rank your videos, when more than 80% of all views on YouTube come from Related Videos and the majority of the percentage left from home page? Is your niche something people have to search to find? If so, good luck on ranking them, you may use microworkers and have them search the keyword you want to rank first and click on your video. After that demand them send a screenrecord of watching the whole video. That's going to cost at least 0,20$ to catch anyone's attention and help you.

If you want to gain views and get into the suggested videos cicle, Keep a close eye to what your "competitors" are uploading, add a few twists to their main topic and upload using the same 3 main keywords as them. Peace

you could be experiencing shadowban/drop in recommendations by high precentage.

or you could be experiencing algorithm cycles which happens throughout the year.

generally content with really high quality should not experience these problems.
there is obviously an aglorithm bias.
youtube does not like all content.
they usually try to limit low effort content or content that can be made with less effort.

if they see a niche as spam , they will flag it, and it will get an algo ban.
then recommendations can drop.
otherwise recommendations will only last for so long, before you get an overnight drop.

evolve with better content and your views will recover.

and keep doing some external promotion like you are doing now, until it recovers.

One of my websites provides US views (microworkers) and a lot of the people who use our services say that they use us even though our prices are a lot higher because our views seem to work better and I think some of it may have to do with the quality of the views from the micro workers. We only use real cell phones that are legit views and a lot of the workers will use proxies which they can detect.

the microworkers are doing the same task for other customers i think that ytb algorithm is smart enough to detect that at least try to mention that they have to clear the cache before doing the task good lcuk

Ad views are useless. External promotions may work. The most effective way is promotions embedded in YouTube's internal traffic sources. Even if the viewing time is not high, if you can create a large amount of organic viewers and create a decent CTR, you can easily create keyword rankings.

You can make the microworkers method work really well but there will be a lot of steps for the user to follow which also means higher cost per job.

It doesn't seem to be helping to be honest, maybe I'm not hiring enough of them though. I have been hiring 100 workers per video and they have to show video proof that they have searched for the video using the keywork i provided (The keyword i want to rank my video for) and watched the fulle video and liked it. Still same issue as before, my video will rank for a day or 2 then nothing

when your rank drops, what's the ctr on the video?

okay well your ctr is great.
so the only reason why your dropping in ranks would have to be due to your videos average retention or watchtime hours.
the videos that are ranked probably have a better average view duration or more watchtime hours.

Its very simple
If you want your videos to rank, you need to keep people watching. The amount of your video that people watch is known as Audience Retention. In other words: If your video keeps people on YouTube, YouTube will rank your video higher in the search results.

Why to make it complicated mate! Keep it simple.

Since anyway you have some budget for promotion, why don't you try with Google Adwords promotion which is specific on your competitor YT channels? This gives you real and engaging audience than what you are getting from microworkers and definitely helps ranking as well since user engagement is more natural.

And also remember to create engaging quality content.
