They were banned!!

Out of curiosity, how does this warning system work?

Say I have a warning today, would said warning be active next month, next quarter, next year?

Basically, do all the warnings you've ever had accumulate or it's only the most recent warnings(according to a certain timing system) that counts.

They expire after a while but if someone is racking up warnings, gets banned, gets a second chance, and then violates again, we have to part ways with them.

He's a good guy, just not a good fit for the forum.

My opinion is TheVigilante was (is) a highly immatured person. To me, not even a single post, comment or reply of his, ever made any sense. This is my opinion and others may have their opinions.
But, may he always have success in all his endeavors.

Damn... Solid guy TheVigilante, sometimes weird but as always, nothing surprises me because you really have to deserve a ban on BHW.

I'm always sad when something like this happens, but everyone "shapes" their own destiny.

So in essence, his 19 warnings were all recent warnings?

I don't know if it's allowed but could you clarify how long it takes for a warning to expire? If that's not okay, no need sharing that info.

He's been a serial violator and at some point you have to say, this is not working out.

Warnings vary in terms of time based on the number of warnings one has and the kind of terms of service violation.

They go anywhere from 0 points and one week to lots of points and, "Hers's your hat, what's your hurry".

Thanks for the clarification, I was just trying to understand why he had so much warnings at the same if they actually do expire. He must really be a serial violator to have accumulated that much warnings within a short period of time.

As far as @TheVigilante, this guy was literally everywhere on this forum. I honestly can't remember any HQ posts of his but he did like to react to every message with a laughing emoji so there's that.
You mean like this HQ post outside the Lounge https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/t...-for-a-black-one.1359207/page-2#post-14712199

Don´t fucking shit on members that probably done more positive things in the forum then you´ll ever do. Sure, he got some flaws, but don´t we all?? He has been around for a loooong time.

Let’s face it. These guys will only shit on someone after they’re banned lol
@TheVigilante probably had the ban coming since it wasn’t the first time but watching some of these clowns pick on him when they know he can’t respond is just pitiful.
Wow, that's really long did you threaten to shoot a mod?
I was an angsty teenager so I probably had them coming lol.

Rules are meant to be followed if one values his account here.
TheVigilante seemed a good person but with those many warnings he was inviting a ban.

I guess I could change his title to "Banned - not a good fit due to his 19 warnings".
Is it possible to see how many warnings somebody has had.
If he had a BST and I needed his service I would buy off of him because he looked like a reputable member. But if I knew he had 19 warnings then I might think twice.

Another member cannot see how many, or what the warnings are, of another member

Some of mine lasted 6 months. That was a rough year lol

The warning points/time frame has morphed into something much more friendly and unless you are doing the same thing over and over again; now they are all pretty mild with the exception of abuse of staff.

Nothing new some people always do that to gain traction, for them it's just fun.
Judging, ranting, trolling & stereotyping internet is full of trolls.
But thanks we have the ignore button here.

Vigil banned?
Well this is just to show that a bot can't fool us for long. It couldn't act beyond what it was programmed to do even after several warnings.

Sad to see him end like this tbh.

The next time someone complains about how unfair some of the warnings are, you should probably remind them of how it used to be.
But thanks we have the ignore button here.
I’d be lost without that feature lol
