Does fake traffic help seo?

If anything, it’ll probably harm your SEO, which is the entire opposite of what you want. It’s funny because just a few days we had a thread with the exact same question. Maybe, just maybe google takes into consideration a site’s traffic (this is a myth as I mentioned before), BUT definitely not bot traffic. It’s pretty easy for google to detect this, especially if you’re using Analytics.

Does sending fake bot traffic to sites actually help them rank?
Really not worth it IMO. Even if you get fake traffic, that's traffic that will never convert anyway. SEO is a means to an end (desired end goal being more conversion for the client) so it makes sense to do things that help convert (like rank for easier long tail keywords that are conversion-focused), instead of spending money sending fake traffic to your client site that won't convert. It may help with rankings but IMO its just a bad idea in terms of budget allocation.

fake traffic might get you to first page, but after it, it will not help you. most of the issue is the IP's that you use and also google can tell what is real and what is fake.

now if you get friends and family around the globe to generate search traffic from their devices and real IP for few times a day over few weeks, then you will notice a boost!

Don't.
Waste of money and not healthy at all.

You can use it for pages index unless this traffic has full human behavior.
It's also GEO-related. I saw methods dying in Google.com while they survived in less competitive markets.

Why in the world do you need fake traffic in the first place? If you say it helps to boost your ranking then that is BS. How long you can use this method to boost your ranking? Instead of spending on fake traffic create quality content and set a proper link-building campaign. This will help to create real traffic and a real audience. It will take time but the results are worth it.

Hell no

Only good to show fake traffic stats nothing else!

The regular fake bots are useless these days, but a bot + anti detected browser charged with farmed gmails and real human behavior heat maps can still work.
You made a good point. Usually the server generating those traffic should maintain quality IPs that are dynamic and that means huge investment.

Yep. If it works for ads, reviews, etc, It should work for SERP.

You are right but I don't think it needs to be calculated like old days traffic. I mean 1K data center IPs traffic can't be equal to 1K farmed and separate profiles who do all sorts of fun tasks with some kind of residential IPs.
It will cost a lot when you are not doing it locally. But if you target your own country, DIY residential IPs are not so expensive to set up. You can set your own mobile proxies or build mobile VPS like we are selling.

Complete waste of money, don't do that! Your Alexa rank will go up but that's it.

conversions must be the main objective. Not sure if traffic bot can enhance that

May be increase the traffic for a short run but it won't work for long term and also penalized. Even waste of money too.

In the long term definitely not. It can maybe help you increase the ranking for a bit due to the high amount of traffic, but eventually, algorithms will recognize that it comes from fake sources and you even may be punished with complete exclusion from the ranking. So, I would say it's not worth a risk, try instead to come up with a way to attract valid traffic from real people, as only that can help you increase the business.
