Hi all, can anyone tell if it's ok to use image placeholders on a new website (from an SEO point of view)

I want all of the content to be indexed but the images are not read yet......

yes It's correct
if you face another problem please contact me.
thanks

i've done it on an ecom store with new products, just had a placeholder saying "Coming Soon".
Pages got indexed as usual, some of the "coming soon photos" are still there a year later. (really need to find time to do them sometime)

I guess as long as the rest of the content is done properly, it wouldn't affect it that much if at all.

I was thinking that....I can't imagine it affecting rankings.....
