Are You Gay?

Some clarification would help:

Looking at this stickied thread and this thread, both are directed towards new members and forum guidelines, you can find this:

That being said, we have a very relaxed atmosphere on BHW - members here tend to swear and make fun of each other. This isn't necessarily hateful or bullying. Poking at each other is part of the banter, and we prefer it when our members don't take themselves too seriously and can have a bit of a laugh.

Speaking of sarcasm, after a little bit of reading around, you’ll notice there’s an unofficial tone on BHW. We have a particular sense of humour that has a tendency towards the sarcastic.

Don’t take this sarcasm to be a personal insult, it’s part of the reason this forum is so valuable. Around here, we talk straight and share some pretty exclusive stuff, so members aren't going to spoonfeed you. Invest in the forum, do the research, and find the threads that are already answering your questions - and if someone is a little sarcastic with you, rise above it. You get out of BHW what you put in, so if you ask interesting, insightful questions, you’ll get interesting, insightful answers.

The way I read it, it tells members "don't be a dick, but also don't be offended/soft, it's how things are here"

I'm not really involved in many heated discussions and I couldn't care less if someone's straight or not, especially in a place like this, but I'm pretty sure this will confuse people and lead to some infractions. What's the line you shouldn't cross?

And I'm not asking about the obvious ones when someone's clearly disrespectful, I mean the silly jokes that are considered offensive in PC culture.

For example, someone posting the video "Why are you gae" in the comments. Is that offensive or a silly joke?
The whole thread about .gay domains, etc. What about pronouns? If someone requests to be referred to as "ze" and someone does not, is that disrespect worth of a warning? There's like a 100 or more of pronouns accepted by the LGBTQ+ community, including things like fairy, worm(something), and many more.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I think community will need more guidance on this if it's going to be enforced, especially when you have the two threads from above that can be misinterpreted in situations like this.

Ah, why would one small call for people to respect each other a little more be something that is simple when we can always complicate everything?

Why will we never agree on things that are so simple?

Why do things always have to be taken out of context?

Btw... We're talking about rankings... When you rank and you don't think about it...

This statement is funny. For the sake of clarity, how are IMers supposed to behave?

Also, I hate when people throw in this is 2021, twenty first century, bla bla bla when trying to make a point. You could make a point without mentioning year it is we live in.

Furthermore, like I always say, lots of the things you've always been able to do without any issues at all would soon become illegal, really illegal that could put you in jail.

It is good that BHW had to draw the line on subjects like these especially as it is a registered company in the UK(I believe), you don't want to get sued or forced to shut down because a few guys want to joke about certain things.
It was meant to be as a sort of call for people here to behave like the adults seeking and sharing knowledge and growth that we are, I realize now that IMers might be the wrong term.

Yes, you could make a point without mentioning the year, but the way I see it, it serves the purpose of reminding people that we have - or at least should have - made some progress towards acceptance, or at the very least understanding that we're not all the same and some people might be softer than others.

These are just my opinions of course.

Now if y'all excuse this old lobster, I has some training to do

So, we are virtue-signalling to be the archetypes of morality to not say "offensive" stuff (tough world deal with it), but not that much to even being a mod of a forum based on not-that-moral practices? where's the morality with the regular folks that are "victims" of our bots, spam, cpa tactics, and "grey area" activities? We have to follow your personal boundaries of "morality"?

Same ol' same ol' here, being PC only with stuff like this. I wouldn't personally attack anyone based on anything like race or sexual orientation, but I don't go around preaching about everyone that uses a strong language is because they had bad parenting. To have the nerve of trying to pose as moral and virtue-signalling in a forum based on morally ambiguous practices is a joke.

Hope I don't get a pm that I can't reply to from op and hope my comment doesn't get deleted again by this same mod, that deleted a comment I made a while ago and then sent me a "warning" because I'm such a threat to the internet, when I told a guy that was asking to make a specific strategy only available to jr vip's that he was a ****** for trying to remove the possibility to make some bucks from people that can't even pay for jr vip.

As @Willyfish says, enough of this. I'm personally offended by this, if you love those terms and sensitivities. I don't care about the morality of spamming the **** out of a website, and neither about being a little rough when I write to others, i don't have double standards. To have the nerve of talking about "bad parenting" is absolutely disgusting. My time here has ended, this used to be so much better and actually useful (not a twitter 2.0 with posts like this one), and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Thank god I never paid for jr vip.

Being gay is not normal (for me), to be honest, but I'll never disrespect or abuse a gay person. It's their choice and they have a right to do whatever they want.

Maybe you should go out there and create your own BlackHat forum, with blackjack and hookers... indeed no, without forum and without blackjack

Thanks for creating this thread. As I can now see all the di*k Head people who were raised in sh*t showing their true appearance in this thread.

And OFC No one on this earth deserves to be treated badly just because they don't fit into a certain gender. And this community should be free from all kinds of hate. Cheers and a happy weekend.

He didn't say you are a dick. He said your request was.

Im not even a native English speaker and i know what are adjectives. Aren't you from UK?

I don't know if I should be glad by the fact you think I am from the UK :D

No, my english is shitty, even in writing.

I think this thread was filled with miscommunication.

Have a good week-end everyone.

Staff tip here, folks, if you are going to make a comment that denigrates another person based on their sexuality you'll get a warning going forward.

Gay, Lesbian, Trans, Etc will get a hello from the staff. Show a little respect and if you cannot stand down please.

If you want to live in 1964 and that is normal fine, but this is not only not 1964 but this is also a business that does not allow that kind of prejudiced commentary.

Feel free to think like that and act like that elsewhere but in this little corner of the world, it is not appreciated nor is it in line with the forum rules.
Does that apply to racist and general female sexist comments as well because I have reported them and have been told by staff it is not against terms?

I'm not gay, but if you are, that's fine. I don't care if you like men, women or both. You can do whatever you want.

Saying anything about this topic is very dangerous so I will stand down

Threads like this one are bad practice to begin with.
It makes rainbow folk look small and defenseless.

It happens on media all the time. Furthermore, it's like teachers ask bullies not to bully small people. That's just acknowledging they are small.
I think gay, trans, lesbians and whatever type is out there were doing just fine before this thread. Now, all the attention is on them, mentally speaking.

If there is even one "rainbow" soul in this forum, you just made him look small and defenseless.
Regardless if their orientation, they are people like you and me and can very well take care of themselves. It's not like they just got out of a reservation or something and have no idea what to do in the world.

It's the same as starting a topic to ask us not to name Irish people lepricons anymore. No one cared about the issue before, but now everyone would just try to spot lepricons.

If you had to clean up a dozen posts this week where people were making inappropriate comments about people's sexual orientation you may think otherwise.

Thank you BTB. This is a place of business, we need to judge people by they way to conduct business, not their sexuality, race or nationality.

So happy to be here right now.
