People who work alone on BHW

In the modern world, it is not so difficult to work alone when there is an opportunity to create a bots :)
I used to have software for almost everything I did. Sometimes it works better than humans.
But then I set up my first company and had 7 people work for me and a few VAs.
Going back to running software instead of people was like going back to a cave.

I am a perfectionist, so my associates always make me feel that the quality of work is not good.

Me too... I simply can't stand people that don't care for, at least trying to produce quality with whatever they work on.

Every job that they do with me, I always seem to have to check and redo... I don't know if this is some syndrome :)

One of the reasons why I work alone...

But working alone took a lot of time and money, taking a long time to get to the level I needed to be.

Yes, it's taking a lot of time, but in the end, it is worth it.

Does anyone agree with me? LOL

I agree ( :

How many people here actually work alone?

Me! ( :

Anyway, teamwork will always be better, it's just hard getting together and finding the right people with the same mindset.

In the end... Single-player can be an MVP but a team can win a championship!

I don't know a single man who built a rocket and went to space all on his own.
This is good advice which took me a long time to fully embrace.
When I first started I used to try to do everything, manage my servers, build my websites, manage my social media, manage ads, manage sales, plus a lot more.
A little bit was down to being delusional, thinking I could do everything better on my own, or thinking person x was able to set up a company on their own so I can.
But mostly because working with other people is a skill which I didn't have, and I've met many people who work in the same sector who have the same problem.

Thats a terrible trait that you must work on especially if you're going to make money online.
I mean look things change online so fast, a method can work for u for a few months and then its saturated and isnt profitable anymore / google updates and ur venture is fucked or whatever...
you gotta move fast if you're doing things online ...
I know, then the power of the team (many ideas) comes into play.

I have to like it as soon as I see your comment. We are simply about the same opinion

And how long did you start the company by working alone, brother?

What work is it you do. There's a lot of work involved in this sector which is subjective, so you saying people not producing quality may be just your opinion.
I was working with a few people recently, 1 person was doing software development, the other market research, they were constantly arguing with each other that the other wasn't doing enough work. More like the issue was, that neither knew the other sector well enough to know how much work the other person had been putting in.

I am a developer. I am a seller and also a content writer. LOL

Lol, a long time.
My first online company, I spent around 6 months working around a day job, maybe more, developing the website and trying to set up social media content, trying to source products etc. I was constantly finding faults which needed fixing, better content for social media, better design for website, etc, rather than trying to get sales. I tried a few more times, before eventually getting a few people to help and just paying for the little things.

Imagine you are your customer, and what they will go through to buy from you.
Come up with a step by step plan your customer will take.
Then write down everything you will need to do at each step. Then put an estimated time frame it will take you to implement each action at each step. You'll soon see how much of your time you are using up.

It's one of the first bricks anyone has to make. But is that your dropship store?

I used to think that way but now it's all about being more time-efficient rather than seeking perfection

Everyone has their own method for the time of day. I believe you are using it well. But it takes time to get it wrong and correct.

I worked alone for over 10 years, but now I'm building teams. Its not possible to build something huge alone.

I do. I used to work for a company and now I work on my own. No disagreements between coworkers and no scumbag bosses who don't even pay overtime work despite their revenue doubling in a year.

I haven't really got to the working or earning parts yet with my work, thanks for this thread as I'll take it as a bit of study...

When I have to pick a new freelancer for a task, I would often outsource the same project to 2 or 3 people, basically throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. Most of the time they are not that good, but the issue with chasing perfect product is that the time it takes to develop and deploy it is too long. You need to increase your frequency with which you are trying new businesses, because most won't succeed. It really sucks if you are stuck working on a project for a year or 2, only to eventually fail at it. So adjust the scope, expectations and filter down ideas that you can make work faster.

But I totally understand that you won't be perfectly happy with your employees performance. If you would be, that would mean you are not pushing them hard enough. Besides, most people try to minimize their workload and maximize their payment, up to a certain point of income. Be very careful of that tipping point, where adding more money will not result in more work done or better quality. If you are still unhappy at that time, you'll need to replace them.

You absolutely have to learn to work with others, you can't do all the work yourself. Just try to churn through them faster so you are able to eventually find workers and coworkers you are satisfied with.
