ICANN/ARIN Justification for IPs (50+ at a time)

I've got a hook up with a company on VPSes to use for making proxy servers. The only thing is, while they do allow the proxy servers openly, I still have to provide ICANN/ARIN justification for needing so many IPs.

I've already used the excuse of providing a VPN service, so I need multiple IPs to spread around my clients. Of course they are going to think that proxy usage is justification, and I'm not buying a domain for every IP.

People are buying up the VPSes like mad for this specific purpose, and some of my clients are wanting more and more IPs to use. I need a few tips to get me over this hump so I can keep the proxy servers flowing smoothly. I don't want to have to turn away business because I can't get my clients anymore IPs!

read up on IPv6 and specifically about the hurdles that will be encountered while the whole IPv4->IPv6 changover happens.

Might be able to get some decent text for justification..

"My business XXX has a network working like XXX - we want move over our internal networks to IPV6 and to do this we will need XXX and XXX IPv4 addresses "

ARIN can sometimes be an ass when when it comes to purchasing IPs in bulk.

You can tell arin your selling hosting for ecommerce sites with SSL, which require dedicated IP. Not sure how many IPs you can get out of them with that, but it should get you some.

there are companies that offer you full delegation (geo and ownership) of theirs, 20 per time.... it is the biggest hosting company in Europe.

I'd go with the SSL argument.

You could also say that you're trying to mitigate a DDoS attack.

To have Proper ARIN justification, you would need to state that the IPs are going to be used for: SSL certs, Whitelistings, Internals and Management. My suggestion is to not apply for large blocks like /20 /19 etc.. The major ISP's are blocking these entire ranges once they see how many emails are being sent from the same subnet.
