Namecheap is a disaster

The domain does exist because .ES domains have public WHOIS and it is on my name since the date I bought it from namecheap,

I assume there's been a whois sync problem.

The whois database for each major TLD (country or not) get synced to the registrars a few times a day.

I assume it's been fixed by now?

not yet, basically support just gives me the same excuses with copy paste messages,
I gave up and got another domain from godaddy

Didn't read the whole thread but it's mostly tld related. For example .za domain would take days to update something and stuff

When nameservers dont update, there is a fair chance you are using outdate/non working nameservers.
Or, some tld's make it hard to change, I encounter the same issue with .it on internetbs, due to the country's registrar. I would not blame it on Namecheap

So, this is my issue with namecheap,

I bought a expired .es domain name 5 days ago (not a important domain, I bought it because it is still indexed and closely related to the site I will make on it)

the issue is that I have been bow 5 days unable to update the nameservers, they say it is a issue with their upstream provider, not my fault right?

so basically I have paid for something and I am not able to use it, they do not give me a refund and they do not know when I will be able to update my nameservers,

has anyone had any similar issue? and if so how did you solve it?

To register a .ES domain you have to be a resident in Spain.
Have you considered that?

I have other websites on the same hosting with the same nameservers

ns75.hostwindsdns.com, ns76.hostwindsdns.com

so that is not the issue,

they do answer fast but they dont fix a thing

To register a .ES domain you have to be a resident in Spain.
Have you considered that?

I have plenty of .ES domains, yes you need a spanish ID,

at the end I have bought a .ES domain from godaddy, 1 hour latter the DNS is updated and the website is live

I had same issue with Hostinger and took many days for nameserver to change.

Finally after almost 7 days it is fixed so to see, the thing is with the other domain I bought from godaddy the nameservers updated in around 1 hour, with this other domain it has been 24 hours and I can only access the site from a Europe proxy, from my location in Asia it is not available, Don't like it when things don't go smoothly, next time I will buy the .ES from other place and not namecheap

Namecheap went downhill a couple years ago - they started to cheap out on things and also started selling data on domain searches to squatters.

Search for a dictionary domain, leave it in your cart for 24 hours and it'll be registered the next day.

Same thing happens on GoDaddy, but everyone knows GD is garbage.

Namecheap's CEO acts really childishly on Twitter as well - they used to be a good company, but now they're in the same boat as Tucows - crappy, but still better than GoDaddy.

Namecheap has really good chat support in my experience. Never had a problem getting an issue resolved, set aside enough time and someone will walk you through it.

there is not much walking through updating nameservers, either it works or it doesn't, also it is not that they do not propagate, directly it was impasible save the changes, probably they get their .ES domains from the cheapest and worse company out there
