So, this is my issue with namecheap,

I bought a expired .es domain name 5 days ago (not a important domain, I bought it because it is still indexed and closely related to the site I will make on it)

the issue is that I have been bow 5 days unable to update the nameservers, they say it is a issue with their upstream provider, not my fault right?

so basically I have paid for something and I am not able to use it, they do not give me a refund and they do not know when I will be able to update my nameservers,

has anyone had any similar issue? and if so how did you solve it?

Namecheap are normally really good, but that certainly sucks

I would just transfer it out, take a few days but it seems like either way you will have some down time. Cost $10 but it will also add a year to your ownership

From what I know, Namecheap has no phone support, only 24/7 chat and email support. You may have already raised a support ticket. Go to their chat support and insist on getting your issue escalated to a "manager" and as per their internal system, the agent has to do that incase an issue is not resolved within 24 hours : On doing that your issue's resolution will get priority (goes to next level) and will get resolved faster than usual (in my experience).

Namecheap was really good for me in the past year until 1 week ago when i bought a .com domain. Dns didnt update for 2 days until i contacted their support. They said they needed to update the timezone to their current timezone and after 1 day dns finally were updated but now the free ssl was not getting installed. I contacted their support again and they said to wait and i waited 1 more day but still nothing. Then i opened a new ticket and finally their support fixed the problem however now the 1 year ssl certificate was telling me it will expire in 55 days lol. Again went into their support and they fixed it. So yeah a lot of problems with them lately however their support responds really fast to me and they fixed the problem. So i advise you contact their support in live chat really often until one of them fixes your problem.

It can not be possible that there nameserver updating tool is down for so long.

Either transfer out the domain or fie charge back.

I just tried changing the nameserver on one of my new domains, and it seems to work normally. So, either it is an issue with the tld; or it is something that's happening to your account only. Or perhaps you are not doing it the right way? If you show me a screenshot of the problem, perhaps I can help.

Just to be clear, I have been using nc for ages and never had a single problem with them. 99% of my domains are with them currently.

I have been with namecheap for 12 years. No big issues so far.

Pay $10 and transfer it out, new name servers with new company
I could try, but how long will that take?
Never had this issue.

Use cloudflare with namecheap. Problem solved.
not posible, how do I update my nameservers to the ones cloudflare gives me?
Are you joking ? You need to change nameservers to Cloudflare as well to use Cloudflare.

It's done on their control panel, 2 minute thing.

I have contacted chat support like 10 times, also I have a long ticket open with them, I always get the same response:
Hello,

Thank you for your reply!

We are sorry that it takes time to resolve the issue. Our upstream-provider confirmed that the domain is still pending creating the status at the Registry level. We need to wait and monitor it at this stage.

Once we have the news, we will inform you.

Your patience is highly appreciated.

and:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us back!

Please let us clarify that being a country-code TLD, .ES domain names have some peculiarities. To our regret, sometimes one of them affects the domain registration.

Unfortunately, we are not able to cancel your domain name registration due to Registry restrictions: The Registry Operating company which manages this TLD does not revoke the domain name and does not credit the refund for the domain name registration.

Please rest assured that we do our best to resolve it as soon as possible.

Thank you!

I have most of my domains with them and I never had any issue, their support is fast and always online, but nobody actually does anything,

I even contacted Enom (their upstream domain provider) but they do not want to give me any information because of privacy issues

That is strange. Are you using some kind of adblocker? If so, please disable it for now and check again. Also, could you show me a screenshot of your inspect element console tab? Could be something there.
I think it’s like 5-7 days for a transfer

That could be it. I transferred a .net domain a few days back, and it took around 5 days too.

Did you paste the auth code right? Did you confirm the email (if you got any)?

I had a code, but you can also call godaddy or who ever and they will walk you through it. It’s pretty simple, more waiting then anything
