Why people buy monetized channels?

So guys what is the point of buying monetized channels or channels with many subs?
Subs doesnt matter anymore basically, youtube only care about returning viewers, so, let's say you buy account with 20k subs, subs are from gaming videos for example, what can you do with that channel later?
It is like you are throwing your money right because subs will not watch videos that you upload and you will not get returning viewers...

Sometimes you create a video and it goes viral and when your channel is not monetized and is under review you earn no cents. But if it is already monetized, you start earning immediately. if that is freshly monetized channel they can rebrand it easily. 1-2k subs are not that powerful to change channel ranking down. Sometimes they bring traffic from other channels to these monetized channels.
Another reason for 10k and more, they can rebrand channel to related topic and can still keep subs.
Sometimes they buy it for flipping, which means buying cheap and selling for profit. I know some guys that just flip channels and make decent income

Usually people buy these monetized channels since they don't want to start from scratch. Everyone knows it's hell lot of pain to start and grow a YT channel. Some people don't want to go through that phase. So they will by-pass the entire process and get that ready-made thing.

But personally I feel, we all (YT creators) should go through the process and understand what works and does not work for us. After all, it's a learning process and we never know what is there for us in the journey. In addition, you will get lot of experience as well.

Moreover, risk of getting banned from YT is also increasing due to change of ownership (unless you do it across business accounts). I am not sure how safe is this process. But make sure to execute the process well, if you are planning to buy one.

This is very good information. I didn't know this. If I get into the video business end of things I'll consider investing in monetized views so I can start earning right off the bat. Thanks for the information again. Didn't know this at all.

But I'm curious how people buy a monetized channel with only bot subscribers. Did you not do your homework? When it comes to returning viewers, they are also the subscriber (organic) who is expected to return and watch.
I don't think it's worth it to buy a monetized channel if all you get is a bot.
