I won a domain from go daddy with awesome links and local content.
Unfortunately when I re checked website with Ahrefs it showed a bunch of pharmaceutical blogs with 301 re directs.
Does this domain have any value can it still be Salvaged?
.

If your selling pills or medication or health products..

Not allowed be spoken on this website / forum as rules don't allow .

I do pest control and am building a local PBN

first look at Ahrefs everything was clean. Than I decided to look at best pages by backlinks and found a ton of 301 redirects on pharma spam. Not related to the website or the backlinks on website.
does this domain potentially have any value.
how to check if domain has a penalty?

Was the domain redirected to pharma?

Usually any domain that has had any sort of shady past ie: Casino, Pharma, prior PBN - you should probably stay away from.

Since you're building a local PBN, you don't need to buy auction domains since local is easier to rank for.

You can use a broker for expired domains, or find your own.

I've built a powerful local PBN from finding my own expired domains while also using brokers.

How did godaddy abused it? It’s not like they changed anything (bait and switch). It’s your fault for not checking it before bidding, or am I missing something?

I see a lot of badly spammed domains being offered in auctions for hundreds, people need to double check before bidding.

I was outbid and yea I missed it. No actual loss.
its a learning process.
How do you make Whois private. I have lots of clean local websites from auctions. On go daddy is the privacy protection for Whois when registering a domain or do I move to a different register and pay for private Whois?

If you are really interested in privacy, I 100% recommend njal.la . Yes, its going to be about double the cost of godaddy to register domains but none of your information is ever at risk or exposed.

They literally have a blog where they tell governments and police agencies to gtfo.
