Client owns 2 businesses in the same town

Hello everyone,

I have a client who owns 2 businesses in the same town (100,000 population) but different suburbs. The businesses are dental practices. One is called "suburb 1 dental" and the other one "suburb 2 dental".

I currently have 2 separate websites for them, but I'm wondering if that's maybe not the right thing to do since I need to get both websites to rank?

Would love to have your thoughts on the best approach.

It should be fine, since it's a different suburb too and if it's just a branch of his "main business" they shouldn't be much issues with this.

Use just one site and focus your SEO efforts.
Make clear on that one site that the business has 2 servicing addresses.
You still can rank on Yelp and GMB.

Get one site and place both locations on the same site.

Do the same thing restaurants do, have a main website with all the info (given that both places do exactly the same) and then just set up a page named locations or branches and show both addresses.
Make the site rank for both suburbs, anything else sounds like a waste of time and money.

Rather going with two websites, I suggest just use one website. You can add two different location pages on the website. And rank it for those two different locations.

OP, follow the advice of Genesis. You can keep both sites, but I'd pool SEO efforts. It doesn't make sense since building links to both when you could just unite. Interlink the sites and put both locations on them.

If they have the same logo and other also same, then better to go with a single website and add both addresses.
