A perfect explaination to Dopamine Reset!

I loved the critique of TED talks. So much bullshit in that overhyped series packaged as fake and productive use of your time, when it is all but.

I guess he is simplifying the peopel who get just enough positive vibes, or perceived productivity, that they don't need to actually do anything by themselves. A hardcore gamer that is "productive in an online game" would be a good second example of someone who is scratching the domain itch, without actually getting forward in life (lol, he actually mentioned gaming later in the video).

Working on an IM project always brought me more pleasure than finalizing it, I guess that is a good loop feedback then:) But a little "crash" when you achieve a goal is imho inevitable, even if you try to downplay it, like he suggests, because most of us always overestimate how good the finishing will be, when the race was actually more exciting.

What is the bottomline?

I thought he would tell us to take a break to reset dopamine level, but "start again after achieving something" is what we're already doing. I think this repetitive never-ending cycle of completing one task after another exhausts our dopamine levels. What do you guys think?

Rest enough between milestones,That's the reset.

Unfortunately this won't work if your work is meaningless and there are no goals other than delivering a part of a meangingless project before deadline.

I liked that he said "I'm not judging, I do this stuff too", he isn't looking down on the people he speaks to.

This thread wasn't even made for people who don't have goals anyway.
If you have goals, like making big sales, which is the main goal of most entrepreneurial ventures, you're probably throwing a party every other week. That's it.

You're kind of adding a sense of cringency to every thread you leave a comment on. Do you feel like you need to disagree with or discourage everyone?

Really good video. On-point about things as well. Resets help you gain perspective on where you want to go/be.

Put him on ignore till he inevitably gets perma banned.
