Universal test to find if someone is a scammer?

Lets say you meet a person on telegram and they have what you're looking for, what is a test to know whether they're a scammer or not?

If they can't give you a seller profile on a forum or voucher do you usually just ignore them?

No they're selling outside but they tell me they don't have any seller profile on BHW or other platform so I can't check their reputation

Are you 100% sure you can't find what you are looking for on BHW or any other more, let say trustworthy site or person?

Suspicious as heal, someone who is selling something must be somewhere on any kind of platform, right? Be aware if you are doing business with them.

There are people posting HAF threads and WTB threads and add their email addresses.

What's to stop a scammer emailing from MrDenz21@gmail and pretending to be you? Offer a too good to be true deal, payable only by crypto then vanishes.

Ask them to use escrow, and if they run fast, then you know. There are similar services for crypto I think.

Make sure to do your due diligence and if such is the case then pay via credit card so you are safe make not credit card payment from PayPal and avoid crypto at all costs

I was thinking someone on Telegram PM him with some offer but at the same time refuses to say their BHW username, anyway, that was not the case.

There is no way to check if a seller is legit. You can use escrow or a payment system that offers refunds in case of scam. You should also release payment in multiple stages of project completion. Just think what would you say and do if you're that person. Here are the signs to notice (but not all of them indicate scams):

• Complete payment in advance
• Crypto payment
• No official contact details
• Hurry to receive payment
• Unusual offers (10x to 20x results for the same or half price)
• Freebies or discounts for immediate payment
• Fake testimonials or bragging about past projects
• Fake proofs of previous experience

There are several others but these should give you an idea and help you identify scammers.

That's what happened, I got messaged on telegram and the guy had what I was looking for. Scammers for some reason are always in a hurry and they speak horrible english in my experience. They get easily mad when you ask them too many questions and say "stop wasting my time if you're not gonna buy." I accepted the offer like an idiot and paid through crypto, needless to say I got scammed
