Hi gang...

Can anyone give me some advice on what or how I should do this... I currently have Microsoft Office 2007 but for some reason its serial number has been tagged by Microsoft as being abused and the software is now showing as not being Genuine anymore. I have found a good MS Office 2007 + serial replacement from Demonoid but I'm wondering the best way to go about switching the good for the bad one without harming my many MS folders and other content within it? Anyone have any good advice on how to proceed?

thnx!

As for 2007... I'm in the same boat... In fact I was worried about it, but seems, other than the fact it says not genuine.. nothing bad is happening. I'd thought about trying to change the SN... but really no need, at least not now.

wtf, ms office 2010, this is new to me :)
is this a stable version or just beta?

That's because Microsoft put out a bunch of updates for XP and vista called genuine advantage. To prevent things like this happening in the future, turn off your auto updates or select only the updates you want installed.

yeah i thought the same thing since the only thing that was a bother was the nuisance of seeing that none genuine message every time I started an application. But now its started a count down of some sort and all I have now is 2 days (it started with no countdown and then at 14 days I believe).

yep.. had the countdown.. that worried me... but at day "0"... no probs.

i found something, it would be useful if you're familiar with modding win registry:

Get an Microsoft Software Developers Network account.

You get 10 keys for ALL MS software!

PM me if you want to buy an account.

You should do something about that bub. Once you hit day 0 it'll stop opening soon. But get this: I had a great hack of vista running for months. The "not genuine" thing would pop up and then vanish after a couple mins. But then I got a gen-u-ine vista, formatted the partition to clear all traces and installed the "real" one. This fucker pops "not genuine" every couple weeks. I have to reboot repeatedly to get it to shut up. Benjamin's Vista Black validates better than the one from MS!

then just keep formatting and install win 7, or win xp, vista is a piece of shit

i got a code from youtbube to convert the preinstalled trial to genuine. Is this likely to happen to me?

MS Office 2010 is actually pretty nice..... I have switched to it from OpenOffice

It's my PC Bill Gates, not yours! If you already own something (by whatever means) that's supposed to work, you shouldn't have to keep running to MS to keep it working. That keeps all 'owners' as merely licensees, or renters if there are fees attached to the new 'updates' (read shakedowns). Get a crack, stop the madness.
