Hey guys I found my seed phrase to an old wallet that contains 0.005 btc, I can see the funds are still there with the public key. I got also the seed but the 12 words aren't in order. been trying ranAttach filesdomly but I'm tired. is there a way a bot can test this? please help?

I'm sure they are not all misplaced in order. maybe 3 or 4 words are not in the right order. is there a tool to test this I can download?

Because these are not wallets, you are holding your crypto in their wallet.
Not your key - not your coins.

If you are trading or using it, you should keep it where it's used.
If it's meant for long term investment, I'd put it in a cold wallet. Not a big fan of the apps, but a lot of people like them.
I don't understand programming, is there a ready script I can use ?
cant really remember, but I think there are 4 or so, I feel so stupid for not writing them all in orders now

Write down all the possible orders, either with a script or manually, or on a paper. It's 288 words.
Enter the phrases one by one.
If none of them work, there's more than 4 words not in order.

If only there was a place where you can search for such things online..
no download it for free on github, run the seedrecovery on python... enter your address and your best guess for seed and thats it. if it is one mistake word or 2/3 words not in order it will recover the seed. if it is 2 or more mistakes or more than 3 words not in order it is not possible

If you want to opt in for self-custody of the funds, get yourself a cold wallet such as Ledger or Trezor and learn how to store your assets over there. If you don't care, and the funds aren't substantial, you can leave 'em in the exchange.
