We live in a fucked up "look at me, watch me and like me" culture.
You see it all over on instagram and especially tiktok.

A recent study found that 100% of those who participate in tiktok "challenges" are braindead.
Now, there's yet another challenge going viral called the "Devious lick" challenge, where kids (Also teens) are Stealing things from their own school. It started out with small things such as clocks and keyboards, but it has now escalated to toilets and smartboards.

The constant narcissism bothers me, but maybe it's just me growing old lol. There are so many things that bug me now at 30 that I was completely fine with 5-8 years ago.
There's also an upside; the same technology and social change that's creating a generation of addicts is also what feeds and clothes almost everyone in this forum. Where would all us marketers be without brain-dead consumers?
By extension, this also makes us part of the situation. It's not 'they' anymore, we're as much a part of the system and are complicit; as the braindead zombie narcissistic consumers.

Can't agree, man, that's just survivor bias. It's like someone saying "hey, person XYZ won the lottery and became a billionaire, so playing the lottery is the best career strategy". Exceptions don't prove the rule, and as a rule, social media makes people dumber, more passive and way too obsessed with dopamine hits of validation, regardless of consequences. That's what happens in 99.9% of cases, so "be a Tiktok influencer, go viral and make money" is terrible advice for most people.

To compare chances of winning a lottery with chances of making money online, is like comparing apples with mangoes. Ofcourse it is much much much easier to earn money online as compared to earn money winning lotteries. And, one need NOT be a TikTok influencer in order to earn good amounts of money through uploads of videos on TikTok or any other paltform for that matter. But, anyways, let us put it this way ; You are ALWAYS totally right and many others are ALWAYS totally wrong. I hope that makes you happy and content. All the best to you.
