Crypto coin getting diminished due to no demand

Is it possible for any of top 100 coins to completely get diminished because of no demand in future ? Has it happened before for any coin ?

ofcourse its possible, 70% atleast of all today coins will disappear in like a year or two,

i can see that in the future you'll need some type of verification to make a coin because nowadays anyone can make a coin all you have to do is copy and paste a few lines
