YMYL niches are the hardest. In short, the niches that may result in loss of health & money are extremely difficult to rank. Google wants authentic & trustworthy information which is written by experts in the field and supported by reliable citations.

As per my personal experience, I found the Crypto & CBD niche bit difficult to rank.

Yes, I suppose business niche is quite tough, but I am really interested in CBD niche. What's happening there?

I am checkign it for the last few days. Parasite SEO - that's what's going on there. Elite parasite SEO on 1-2 k $ publications though.
It's the same throughout supplements niche as well.
But if you check the SERP history, there are movements of fresh content - meaning, that google consider freshness of content as an important factor for those terms.
Also, many articles are named 2021, so you have a time to hop on 2022 train

There are easy keywords (with volume) in all niches. You just have to spend the time to find them. It's not easy to find them but it's definitely worth the effort.

As an example, I registered a domain last week and I'm #17 for a ~8000 MS crypto keyword. Based on a similar site I have, this keyword should pay around $60-70/1000 PV. So it's not a worthless keyword.

Overall, crypto is a tough niche like the others have said but there are several easy keywords available for Crypto. Don't let the overall competitiveness of a niche stop you.

Well, I can see that you are interested in the CBD niche, if you doing white hat link building on your own, maybe it would not be that difficult, because most of the SEO services doesn't provide CBD's link so maybe there is your chance, you at least would not have that kind of competition.

Usually the most competitive it's where there's big money to be made. Hence it becomes competitive, as more people are competing for it. Anyway, you know there are tools to measure how competitive a niche is, before entering. If you don't have big budgets to invest, it might be hard to achieve.
