what do you think about outlinking ?

i've seen many knowledgable people in seo talk about outlinking to sources like wikipedia , edu articles etc ..

is it really something that helps your seo ?

It makes sense if your readers can find something there which will help them. From my experience it doesn't really make a difference. Outlink if it's helpful, if not don't

I do it, I find that it is a great practice to do
