Facebook 'Free Laptop' Method - A New Trend

Dear BHW,

I have recently been inundated with invites for groups offering 'a free XPS laptop'. The group re-directs to the following page:

h**p://techcrush.net/dellXPS/

Many of this groups have in excess of 50k members. Hypothetically, say a quarter of these members have completed a $1 offer.. that would equate to $12,500.

How could one copy the site, and script which is in action on the above domain?
I dare say the owner of the domain will be reading this post.

If anyone may be able to help in recreating such a site, I will post a full tutorial here for all to read. I just need a push in the right direction.

What I'm asking is.. how do you create a pop-up to push three CPA's and prevent the form from being completed before the offer has been filled in?

Its too unrealistic to expect a quarter of the people who visit the site to fill out the offer. A more reasonable estimate would be 10% and then you have to take the shaving by the networks into account, too. And seeing that he is using **************, the conversion rate would be around 5%.

its not a "popup" its the ************** gateway. dude. signup with them and you can place one on your site, too.

You really shouldn't post a method on how to do this step by step, since then it would be no use to no one because noobs would kill it to death.

Anyways I made a replica of the page but am using WPGuardian instead of **************

this is the 3rd thread of this type to have been created here. The first was moved to Jr VIP, the second I voted to have moved also but has not been moved and now this one.... This stuff really needs to be moved due to saturation.

I'm so surprised when there are 100's of thousands of ppl in these kinds of groups. I can't believe ppl are that stupid, but they are.

I just feel bad when I see my friends join these types of groups...lol

I just did this with a twist, getting some Facebook users who joined, but not really converting well.

If I were to attempt this I would use a different strategy and it would certainly not be laptops(when something is toooo good to be true, it's prbably FAKE), maybe something like an iphone or something like that.

its a good idea, and pretty easy to set up too. I like the "confirm that you are human" trick, it should convert a little better than "premium content area"

the CPA l3@d surveys are really long though, but I suppose for a free laptop, it seems worth it. (not that you'll ever see the laptop, but we all know that its pretty easy to make money from idiots)

Actually, it was I who started this method. I did it with a Macbook contest and that group has more than 250k members now. But the result was a ban of my account from Facebook.

Since then, I have seen people doing this numerous times. Some have even gone and copied the exact title and description of my group...lol!

Actually, I did not exactly monetize it in the way other people are doing it now.

I haven't received the payment yet but I am sure that I will have no problem receiving payments because I did not do anything wrong. My group was not a scam guaranteeing everyone a laptop. Instead, it was a contest and out of the 250+ members that I had, only 1 would win.
