From a business standpoint, it makes a lot of sense. I think that Google has seen a lot spam that cookie Cutter approach is now their best strategy.

It's great, and covers so many fundamentals that you will be bookmarking sections all day long!
Don't let the fact that its mostly in c, put you off, its very understandable for any other language.
