My pinterest tip for 2021:
DO ALL OF THE CORNY SHIT!
This means SEO optimizing your board description and all of your pin descriptions, picking a color palette specifically for your Pinterest page and pins, SEO optimizing your board titles, making board covers with your board titles on them.... basically all of the shit that you see the Stay At Home Mommy Bloggers do that actually make money off Pinterest but you're sitting there stuck trying to iceskate uphill because you think you're above doing the cheesy shit they do. Do all of it. My page already had traction but I decided to do everything I just outlined. I had SEO optimized pin descriptions and board names but I decided to go all of the way and make my page look as professional as possible. Once I did that I basically set it and forget it because my pins are set to autopost. Checked it out about a month later and my impressions shot up from its regular 200k+ to 650k+, 719 saves, and 600+ outbound clicks. I got my first organic sales for my new site out of nowhere this month and was wondering where they came from, check my Pinterest and was surprised at the analytics. Also, just to note, impressions/monthly views do not mean much in the grand scheme of things but once you start to approach that 1+ million mark that's a good indicator that people are actually paying attention to your page and you're doing something right. But yeah, until you actually take the time to do everything I just named, you can't complain about Pinterest "not working." You need to optimize everything that's not. Your Pinterest page is your billboard. Treat it as such. And I also agree with William702 when he says, do not focus solely on Pinterest. Mix it up.
