What is the most you would pay for a contextual link?

I've seen a handful of link building threads in our marketplace and each price is so vastly different ..
For example, one seller is offering contextual links placed into an existing relevant article for the following prices:

$249 Per Link, Minimum DR60
1,000 Minimum Organic Traffic
or
$119 per link, Minimum DR30
1,000 minimum organic traffic

What are your thoughts on these types of services?
Would it be a fast way to rank for low-medium competition local keywords or is it just a cash grab?

They're definitely a good way to rank being on the safe side because I think links at such prices would be good guest posts rather than PBN links and they're definitely worth the price. But that's only when you have such great budgets. Also, only one or two such links won't get you anywhere most of the times. So , unless you have many thousands of dollars of budget, they're not worth the shot as you'll end mixing them with PBN links sooner or later in the same link profile and thus, the purpose would be failed.

Link building is a continuous effort and so, you might want to buy them in bunches on a random interval (to make it look like naturally shared by those blogs).

absolutely. This thread is more of a question on how much these links are actually worth.

I could price the same link at $2000 and use this argument, but it doesn’t make it worth it.

I spent $2500 on a site and sold it for $20,000. If I didn't have to sell it would have kept growing. The thing is, links aren't everything like everyone here says they are. Focus on keyword research, there are low competition KWs in virtually every niche. Put in the work upfront with planning your site out and analyzing competition, this is going to help save a ton of money later on.

If you can start with a powerful domain then you can get away without building any links as long as your keyword research and content are on point (this is what I did and getting ready to repeat the process again with two sites at once).

Focus on topical relevancy. Find a ton of low competition keywords in your niche within one vertical and post several articles on your site. This is going to help rank everything because google sees that your site has a ton of GOOD content around one topic.

If you already have a site or cannot get a strong domain then focus on everything I've mentioned above, it's just going to take more time but you will see progress even without links but I would recommend at least building some links. Go with 70% links to your root domain and 30% to your inner pages. Don't forget to interlink properly.

Finally, instead of going to the marketplace just do the outreach yourself. Find sites in your niche and send them an email offering money. It will cost drastically lower than what you will pay a seller on here. Do a split between niche edits and guest posts, then build some forum links and web 2.0s, just don't overdo it.

If you do your own outreach, the average cost of a link is something like $150 if you include the cost of the guest post.. if not I'd say you can build great links from $50-200, in that range. I will pay a LOT more for relevant links that are from sites that don't have a ton of outgoing links. That is like gold!

DR and traffic on their own would not clarify the website authority, both can be easily manipulated,
You should actually ask for a couple of samples or available websites before placing such an order,
Check the website top keywords and their difficulties, its link profile, quality of the published content, the age, stability of the traffic, where the post gonna be published, etc...
Overall, make sure that you know exactly what you're paying for and ask as many questions as required so you won't be scammed by one of the spread shit sites/sellers
