Are these of any use to push rankings ?

It's good for diversification. You can build them. And don't just overcook the anchor text, google may count it as spam.

First of all quora links are no-follow. So they cant pass link juice.
What they can do is
Pass traffic if you get clicks.
Can help in building authority.

personal opinion: quora used to give positive impact on ranking, but not anymore, because it is spammed to death. u will notice positive serp improvement with a no-follow backlink from an authority site that is not spammed.

I mean, a link like any other doesn't mean shit if it's not bringing in traffic.

You should go for a long-term plan with Quora, Reddit, etc...

Answer questions, give some value, add free quality info...

Just don't spam it, when you add a link to your site it should be about something that will last for some time and bring in traffic.

Do some research and see how some other people do it, just copy/paste what they do in your own unique way.

All the best!

I think links from Quora are no follow links. Most people use it for traffic than SEO.

You shouldn't just ignore nofollow links. Google has many hidden metrics that give some value to nofollow links based on authority of site, placement of link, and user engagement. Quora links are contextual links with good user engagement. They may help you in SEO by improving your EAT score.

Better having it than not.
Just don't expect too much of it in SEO rankings.

Great reply, can you help elaborate what EAT score is?

EAT stands for Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. Generally, expertise comes from author's profile & social media credibility, authortitativeness comes from content quality and references, and trustworthiness comes from backlinks from authority sites like Wikipedia, social shares, and user engagement with backlinking sites. These 3 factors define the quality of a website for Google.
