Today having installed, Wordpress website with namecheap.com I noticed that my "http://www.domain/cpanel" is visible for everyone so can you guys please tell me how to hide cpnel url example given above of hosting?

I went on lots of blog but no one was covering this topic, hence asking with you if you guys help me out of this issues.

Have you checked with Chrome incognito mode? Just make sure you are not checking while still logged in.

I would simply email or raise a support ticket with namecheap. They usually respond pretty fast

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your effort, but I have checked in Incognito mode it is still opening from there.

I also had word with one of an executive of Namecheap he told me that we only share such an offer for VPS hosting. and as a newbie, I took shared hosting at a pocket-friendly price.

yes, there is nothing you can do about having the login page there, unless someone with a bit of programming knowledge knows how to change the url from cpanel, to my secret login, but whats the point, its like any wordpress site, you can go to their /wp-admin and log in! LOL like its that easy, only you can.

I am Just thinking to hide my cpanel because of Hacker.

Do you mean you can see the actual cpanel or the cpanel login screen?

There is no way to hide the login screen. if you have a secure password have your login screen accessible will not expose you to being hacked

You could attempt to limit access by IP access

Something like going into WHM > Host Access Control area:

Daemon     Access List   Action      Comment
whostmgrd  WhitelistIP        allow
whostmgrd  all           deny

Uh, if I remember right, you can just ask namecheap support to do it for you too.
